Chapter 8 - Birthday Wish (Imayoshi X Reader)

Today is your birthday and you forgot about it due to your busy schedule. Basketball practice, exams next week, babysitiing your younger brother, etc. You haven't sleep for a long time. Your health is also decreasing making you weaker and weaker everyday.

"Hey, (First Name), aren't you getting thinner and thinner everyday?" Imayoshi, your childhood friend asked.

You were sleeping so you didn't hear he is saying.

"(First Name)!"

You jumped and rubbed your eyes.

"Huh? Huh? What is it?" You asked.

"Are you eating?" Imayoshi asked.

"Am I supposed to take that as a normal question or a rare one? 'Cause for me, I think the word eating is not in my dictionary, baka!" You exclaimed like you're a drunk woman.

"(First Name)..." he started

"WHAT?!" You yelled

"Can you just forget about your work for today?!" He asked

"And why'd you ask?" You asked

"IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY FOR PETE'S SAKE! So could you just forget about everything and celebrate life?!" He asked as he raise his hands up.

You stood frozen feeling stupid. You, yourself forgot your own birthday. Imayoshi's even the one that made you remember.

"Oh..."

He sighed.

"Let's get you home." He said as he pulled you. You blushed as his big and warm hands intertwined with yours.

"Happy Birthday (First Name)." He greeted as he held the (Favorite Cake).

"T-thanks, I-Imay-yoshi-kun..." You said as you turned your face to hide your embarrassment.

He place the cake down and light the candles.

"Make a wish."

I wish for someone that would love whatever happened. A man that would always be there. So please give me a sign. Two running kids in front of school would be nice. You said as you finally blew the candle.

"So, what's your wish?" He asked curiously.

"Secret! By the way, thank you Imayoshi-kun." You said as you kissed him in the right cheek. His face is as red as a tomato.

The next day, you walked to school alone. Imayoshi texted you that he's there at 6:30 and its already 6:54 and your a block away from the school.

When you almost reached the school, you saw two kids running and they dashed in front of you. As you followed them with your eyes, someone called you.

"(First Name)!" Imayoshi called.

"Good morning Imayoshi-kun..." You greeted.

While you two were walking your way to the room, you remembered your wish yesterday. A man that would always be there... And for the sign, Two running kids will be nice. Your face suddenly became a dark shade of red.

I-Imayoshi-k-kun?! I-impossible! You thought.

***After 2 Hours***

The bell rang telling you that its break. You didn't want to eat or do anything and just think of what happened in the morning.

Imayoshi-kun... Imayoshi-kun... Imayoshi-kun... Imayoshi-kun... Imayoshi-kun...

"(First Name)!"

You fell to your thoughts and jumped a bit, letting out a small cry.

"It seems that you're thinking of something..." He said. "What is it, (First Name)?"

You turned away to hide your bright pink face.

"H-hey! Wanna go to the rooftop?" He asked

"S-sure..." You answered weakly as he pulled your cold hand and intertwine it with his.

When you finally got to the rooftop, you ran to the bench and breathed deeply.

"What's wrong?" He asked walking towards you.

"It s-seems my w-wish... I-it just h-happened, a while a-ago..." You started

"What's your wish?"

You lifted your head and say, "I told you its a s--" You were interrupted by Imayoshi's soft lips. Your face became extremely red. When he pulled out, you covered your face with your hands.

"WH-WHAT WAS THAT F-FOR?!"

He chuckled. "I love you, (First Name). Since the first time we met. (First Name), I love you so much, I could do anything, just for you." He said with a smile.

You were so speechless that you didn't even realize that he kissed you again, but this time, you kissed him back, and you two enjoyed the kiss.

After few seconds, you pulled out panting.

"Imayoshi-kun." You wrapped your arms in his neck and you two kissed again.
