My Biggest Mistake (Sam Winchester)

Summary: after your best friend dies, you realize you've made the biggest mistake of your life.

Prompt: 44. "It would have been better if we had never met"

You and Dean didn't always get along and sometimes you really wanted to smother him, but you tried to keep calm most of time for Sam's sake. He was the opposite of  Dean and you loved the way he is. The only problem was that he'd always choose his brother over you, even if he never said so, it was obvious. You never wanted to come between them or be the reason they stopped talking to each other. You understood that family comes first, after all your best friend was like a sister to you and you'd choose her over Sam.

You met the boys after they saved you from a vampire. It was actually Sam who saved you and you instantly fell in love with him and he with you. You never went on hunts with them, but you learned everything about the supernatural world, in case you ever needed to defend the people you love if a monster attacked them. You even met a couple of supernatural creatures like the witch Rowena, which you found cool and didn't think she was dangerous. Then there was Crowley, he was the king of hell and the boys usually summoned him to help them with other things. He was nice to the boys but they never appreciated anything he did for them and told you to not be deceived by his kindness, after all he's the king of hell and does things that are in his best interest. Crowley even warned you about the boys once and told you if they saw a supernatural creature that did one mistake they'd kill him before even giving him another chance and he told you that people they care about always seem to die. He advised you to stay away from them, but you were already with Sam and thought he was trying to hurt him so you ignored him.

On one of the hunts Dean and Sam were after a group  of vampires and they managed to kill all of them or that's what they thought. It was Dean's task to see how many there are and to take care of the ones who weren't in the building at the time they attacked. He apparently forgot about one. The vampire who escaped vowed to destroy their lives and people who they cared about. Once, Dean and Sam went on another mission you were staying with your best friend when someone knocked on the door.

You went to open the door and it was the pizza delivery man. You don't remember ordering pizza and asked your friend if she did and she said no. You opened the door and told the guy that he must have the wrong house.

"But you're Y/n Y/l/n right?" the man asked.

"yeah, but I didn't order any pizza" you assured him.

"aren't you Sam Winchester's girlfriend?" he wanted to make sure he got the right person.

"how did you know that?" you took a step back.

"he ordered the pizza and told me to deliver it here" he lied. He'd been watching you for more than a month now and this was his chance to get his revenge.

"oh okay then. Thanks" you reached for the pizza, but before you could take it he grabbed your arm and pulled you outside. He held a knife to your throat and told you to call your friend and so  you did.

"do you know who I am?" he asked.

"no, please leave her out of this".

"your boyfriend and his brother killed my entire family. Now I'm gonna make a new one and I will let them suffer the way they did. They will either have to kill you when you turn or you will turn them into the thing they hate" he informed you.

"you're a vampire" you realized from the way he talked.

"good guess" your friend was shocked by the view and was about to come out before you stopped her.
