I was at home trying to find a job. I only had a few days till I would have been kicked out. I had just gotten out of a relationship that was just too stressful and didn't want to deal with anything anymore. So my brother, Jeremy, decided for us to have lunch at Taco Johns. We went there and we both ordered our food. I noticed this one girl with short red hair working in the kitchen. I just couldn't keep my eyes off of her. I didn't know why my eyes couldn't leave her alone.
My brother told me to grab an application from there to try and hopefully get the job. A few days later I get a call to come in for my orientation. As I went in for my orientation, I noticed that the girl wasn't working. I was a little bummed that she wasn't there, because I was gonna introduce myself . The next day was my first day, and I was a little nervous but didn't care. It was a job to get me off my butt basically.
I asked my sister-in law for a ride to work, so I wouldn't have to walk. As we left to head to Taco Johns, my mind wouldn't stop thinking about that girl. I did t know if I was gonna see her or not. When I got there, she wasn't there. I was a little sad, but it was life. I thought it was too good to be true. I had clocked in for my first day and asked my supervisor, Brittany, "where would you want me to be at ma'am?" She said," I'll have you in front counter with Oscar. I'm gonna have him train you on register." As I started to head over to the front counter to learn how to run the register for the first time, the girl walked in. My heart started to race, more than it ever has in my entire life.
She didn't notice me at all. I joked around with Oscar about how cute she was. In my mind I knew something was gonna happen, but just didn't know if it was gonna be her or some customer. It was really slow, so me and Oscar started to do a line sweep. Once I started, the girl noticed me for the first time. I didn't know what to say to her. We locked eyes for a couple seconds, and went back to work. In my mind, I was thinking I might have just found the one.
