The first weeks after our debut were unbelievable. Everything worked out. We were praised by alot of artists. Even senior groups we looked up to, told us that they were big fans now. The members and me still had to learn alot of things. This whole music industry was still new to us. Of course we practiced alot before our debut, however it was still diffrent. Now performing on stage, having fans, everything. Today was the third week after our debut and we had a performance on Inkigayo. YG predicted that we would have our first win today since we did great on the charts. But neither did any of us believed his words, cause we competed against I.O.I who is recently really popular in Korea right now due Produce 101.
After we performed "Boombayah" on stage did we get ready for our next performance. Our hair stylist was just adding blue extensions into my hair as Rosé ran inside our changing room, with a girl beside her. I had to look twice before I could even regonize who it was.
"Look Lisa I got to see my namesake today.", Rosè said to me excitedly and before I could say anything did the girl introduce herself.
"Hello I'm Park Chaeyoung from Twice. I'm in charge of rap in my group. Hope we get along", she said while bowing.
I bowed back and answered with a simple "Likewise" and introduced myself.
Chaeyoung from Twice is a really nice person. We talked alot about our companies and our positions as rappers. And you couldn't deny that Chaeyoung had talent. She had a good vocal range and could sing even tho she was a rapper. She comforted me when I told her that I'm not confident in my singing.
We had fun with her till one of her members, I think Nayeon was her name, picked her up. I knew Nayeon from Jisoo, since she used to hang out alot with her on our predebut days.
"Blackpink is the next", a Sbs staff said to us. The girls and me immediately left for the stage and we were ready to perform our last performance for tonight.
"Blackpink's 'Whistle' won today in Ikigayo, Congratulations!"
The crowd was cheering and clapping for us. Artsits behind us bowed to us and congratulated us. Everthing hitted me at once. Jennie who was holding the speech almost started crying and even Jisoos voice started to shake as she started to speak. Rosè started crying and I just had to percieve everything again.
As our music started for the encore stage did we all got emotional. Jennie cried the most and consistently bowed to the crowd. I hugged sobbing Rosè, than I started to cry. Then Jisoo had to comfort us all. It was a mess.
Eitherway did we survived the stage and left.
Backstage were alot of artists greeting us. The three of us still sobbed especially Jennie. Her cheeks became really puffy and her tears made her blind. She almost walked into several artists. Then as we thought that she would actually pay attention to her surroundings, did she ran into someone.
"Oh excuse me.", Jennie said cutely and panicked as she looked up. Of course it had to be a famous boy group member.
"Be careful where you walk to", the guy said "but you guys did a great job today."
Frozen, that's how you could describe Jennie at the moment. She was embarrassed. Not only that she ran into him but that he had to see her in that state. Quickly after she bowed to him and turned around and ran to us as fast as she could. The guy stood there shook, but then he suddenly started to smirk. His cheeks as well as his ears turned pink. He rapidly hid his face behind his hands, so no one would notice it. It seemed that I was the only one who saw it. Shortly after this incident happend did another member jumped on his back.
"Kai, let's go home!", the other member said while pulling him far away from the place.
"Chanyeol wait!", was the last thing we could hear from him before they went into the elevator.
Jisoo and me immediately smirked at Jennie who was covering her puffy face behind her hands.
"Jennie, now you and Kai, huh?", I teased her. Jisoo joined me and pushed both of her hands away so that she could grab Jennies cheeks.
"Jendeuk is flirting in front of me. Im disappointed.", she said playfully.
Rosè the only one left came to protect her from us.
"Leave her alone", Rosè said while hiding Jennie behind her back.
"You guys are no fun", I said and turned back to our dressing room.
"Oh Oppa.", I said to my manager who stood behind us. He saw everything.
Jennie looked at him with fear.
"Please it was a accident. I will never talk to him again.", she said. She was afraid that he might tell YG what happend. Since we are not allowed to interact with male idols.
He just giggled.
"I would never snitch you guys.",he said, "trust me!".
We all thanked him and walked into our dressing room. I was to lazy to change back into my regular clothes so I stuck with my stage outfit.
Back home did I fell on my bed. I looked up to the blank ceiling.
The word "Dating" echoed around my head.
"If I'm able to fall in love in this system?", I questioned myself. Over the years did I never really pay attention over this topic. I rather wanted to debut then be in a relationship. But know after today's event can't I stop myself of thinking about anything else.
"No one wants to date me anyways.", I tried to convince myself and slowly started to sleep.
