Christien x Rouge

Chapter 1: the breakup

During the holiday seasons you'd usually expect attitudes like cheerful, kind, warm hearted, ect. But that wasn't the case for Rouge the Bat. She was devastated, sad, and a little bit dark as well.

Let's go back a few hours to show you what happened.

(Snowy Capitol City)

The little white snowflakes were falling from the skies, for the children to make snow angels in, build snowmen, and try and eat the yellow snow (seriously don't do that)

Rouge was holding hands with her boyfriend, Knuckles the Echidna, to a mountain top that was supposedly very romantic.

Rouge: so Knuckles what are we doing at the place anyways?

Knuckles: *scratches head* well... I don't know yet.

Rouge was wearing a pair of black snow pants with a purple snow jacket, dark pink scarf, and a dark blue beanie.

Knuckles was wearing blue jeans, a red snow jacket, and white beanie.

Rouge: for a protector of the master emerald you don't think things through.

Knuckles: and for a secret agent you don't find out things very quickly do you?

Rouge: *giggles* ok you win this time.

The two walk on the busy sidewalk where people were waiting in lines in front of stores to buy gifts for Christmas.

Knuckles: "sigh"

Rouge: knuckles honey what's wrong, something bumming you out?

Knuckles: Rouge, I think we need to see other people.

Rouge, firstly thought Knuckles was joking, realized that he was serious about this.

Rouge: bu...but why?

Knuckles: because the feelings I have... had for you, it's gone.

Rouge was at a loss of words at this point. She had be broken up by multiple other guys before, but this was different for her.

Rouge: what do you mean the feelings are gone?

At this point people started to look at the two, and Knuckles just pushed people aside as he walked away from Rouge.

(Twenty minutes later)

Rouge was at home in her bed, crying, drinking as much alcohol as she could, and growing into a mad state.

She throws an empty bottle of vodka at her wall, shattering it to pieces during the impact.

Rouge: WHY!?

Rouge soon fell asleep from her crying and dreamt about the times she had with Knuckles.

(Meanwhile in the mall)

Knuckles was at a JC Penny looking through a few "I'm sorry" gifts for Rouge, but wasn't finding anything good enough.

He decided to go across the hall to see if he could find a cheap necklace for her, but ran into an old friend of his, Christien.

Knuckles: Christien, what's up.

Christien: oh hey Knuckles, what's up?

Knuckles: trying to find a gift for Rouge, we broke up today.

Christien: I'm sorry to hear that, is she alright?

Knuckles: I don't know, hey can you check on her later please?

Christien: of coarse, she's an old friend and my agent partner.

Knuckles: ya I know. I'll see you around.

Christien: alright see ya later.

Knuckles and Christien went there separate ways, Knuckles going to the jewelry store, and Christien to his motorcycle.

Christien put on his helmet with goggles and drove onto the highway. He drove through for about ten minutes and turned to a neighborhood where Rouges house was located.

Christien: here it is.

Christien stops the motorcycle and takes off his helmet and goggles. After that he goes up and knocks on the front door.

He waits for a few seconds and knocks again saying it was him and Rouge slowly opens the door. Her eyes were red from the crying and tears were still on her cheeks.

Rouge: Christien!!

Christien: hey I came to check on you.

Rouge: he told you didn't he?

Christien: ya, he told me.

Rouge: do you want to come on in?

Christien: sure.
