Supergirl: Fandemonium

The demolition crew is running out of the building as pieces of the building are falling around them. One of the demolition crew trips and can't get out of the way when a medium size piece starts falling straight for him. At the last second, Supergirl appears and grabs the piece of the building, rescuing the Demolition Worker.

"Are you okay?" Supergirl asks.

"I think so." the demolition worker says as he checks himself over quickly before starting to get up.

"Get yourself to safety." insists Kara.

"Thank you Supergirl." says the demolition worker in appreciation.

Supergirl sets the piece down as the Demolition Worker runs away. Supergirl uses her heat vision to break up the larger pieces and send the remnants away from fleeing demolition crew workers. As things start to settle and there isn't any major debris, nearby pedestrians begin to cheer.

"Woo! Go Supergirl!" Alicia cheers her on.

Supergirl notices Alicia but focuses on helping people.

A little while later, Supergirl lifts up a large piece of debris and the emergency workers pull someone out from under it. When the trapped person is out, she puts it down. Maggie Sawyer comes up to Supergirl.

"Doesn't that ever get tiring?" Maggie asks.

"Hey Maggie." Supergirl says with a smile, "Not really, the benefit of being solar powered."

Supergirl notices Maggie's new partner, Anna Ramirez, beside her.

"I'm guessing this is your new partner?" Supergirl asks rhetorically.

Anna Ramirez extends her hand for a handshake to Supergirl.

"Detective Ramirez."

Supergirl shakes her hand.

"Oh don't worry, Supergirl's not one to stand on ceremony." Maggie explains before turning to Supergirl, "This is Anna."

"Nice to meet you." responds Supergirl.

Anna smiles back as she speaks, "You too, I'm a big fan of your work."

"Well, thank you... I do my best." Supergirl's modestly responds.

"Speaking of big fans, do you know that girl?" ask Maggie as sh indicates Alicia Baker who is excitedly standing behind the police barrier, trying to get Supergirl's attention.

"Sort of, I saved her from a hostage situation recently." explains Supergirl.

"Well she seems really insistent on being able to talk to you." points out Anna.

"We're trying to get people to stop gawking but she says she wants to see you before she goes anywhere." adds Maggie.

Supergirl watches Alicia for a moment.

"Thanks, I'll talk to her."

Supergirl walks over to the police barricade. She meets Alicia Baker at the police barricade. There are media people with cameras still getting shots of the site. Several of them take photos of Supergirl as she approaches the barricade.

"Hi uh..." tries Supergirl, realizing she doesn't know Alicia's name.

"Alicia... it's okay that you don't remember, I don't mind."

"The detectives said you wanted to see me. Are you all right?" a concerned Supergirl wonders.

"Well, yes, I am... thanks to you. If you hadn't rescued me from those bank robbers, I'd probably be dead now."

"I don't know about dead, I don't think they would've killed anyone."

"Anyway... I wanted to thank you for what you did."

"Like I said, it's kind of my job."

Alicia pulls out a charm bracelet from her pocket. The bracelet is generally unremarkable except for the largest, most prominent charm which is the S symbol of the House of El that Supergirl wears on her chest.

"Still, it means a lot to me and so I wanted to give you this."

Alicia reaches out to give the charm bracelet to Supergirl and cameras start flashing to capture the moment. Supergirl looks around in concern over the media attention.

"I was wearing it during the bank robbery that you saved me from and it came off. The police just returned it to me today. I saw this happening on the news and I knew you'd be here. So I wanted to give it to you." explains Alicia.

Nearby, Maggie and Anna don't really know what to do given the media presence.

"Thank you... but you know, jewellery kind of clashes with life and death situations. I'm afraid that I would destroy it." Supergirl explains in the best way she can.

"I know, but I'm sure you can put it somewhere can't you? It's just... it would mean a lot to me if you could have it." an expectant Alicia says.

A few moments later, Supergirl reaches out and accepts the charm bracelet from Alicia.

"Thank you."

Supergirl smiles at Alicia. "It was my pleasure."

Supergirl gathers the charm bracelet into her palm and then steps back from the barricade a few steps before bending down to launch herself into the air, flying away.
