The "man" was in front of him, the man that thought that he killed was standing in front of him, the mask didn't kill the man...but it turned him into something that it was supposed to be nonexistence...

By pure luck Dio moved his hand backwards and felt the knife that he used on the other bastard.
-Come to think of it, it was Mentioned in JoJo's notes... The human brain is still a mystery! And that it's quite likely there may be powers hiding there we don't know of...! So, the tentacles must trigger those! -Dio thought this before seeing that the "man" attacking him.
With a quick movement Dio took the knife that was in the lifeless body and used it to defend himself. With a quick move he cut the pinky finger along with the phalanges, moving himself from the way of the attack in the process.

The fist hit the wall that was behind the Dio turned to almost dust because of the punch of the "Man", it was impressed because of this but he couldn't react on time to dodge the second hit the "Man" throw at him.
The force was so strong that made Dio fly over the road and hit the bridge that was near them. Dio was confused and in shock he was so shocked that he started to do an inner monologue again.
-What power! Who would have thought that the mask could awaken such ferocious power from the brain I can't match this power! But his attacks his own bones and muscles! Maybe I have a chance!
Or that's what Dio thought but he finally reached a near wall hitting it so hard that some of his bones broke from the impact, but his problems were not over yet.
