The story begins before Kakarot was born even Raditz. Bardock was what many would call a wonderer never staying to one thing doing multiple tasks at once, many called him strange except his best friend.
Well best friend was a stretch as he did question Bardocks sanity sometimes but Bardock backed his intelligence despite the random spews of nonsense.
Bardock was in his work garage he peaked over his project at his friend leaning against the wall arms crossed 'I haven't forgotten a birthday have I?' Bardock asked wiping his hands clean with a rag. His friend shook his head and kicked off the wall standing up straight 'No but you forgot you had a meeting with the boss earlier' he passed Bardock a coat.
Putting on the coat after locking up his work garage he walked with his friend down the street 'So besides the boss wanting me what does the great Vegeta want with me? Usually you let me get yelled at' Bardock raised his brow as he looked to his best friend Vegeta who pinched the bridge of his nose and returned the look to Bardock. 'If you must know it's because rent is due and you haven't given me your half' he glared at Bardock who was looking at him mouth wide open and nodded as they turned to head back home to handle this payment.
Arriving to their flat Bardock put his keyes into the door and tried to open the door and Vegeta stood in amusement until the landlord walked upto them and crossed her arms 'So the two freeloaders show up. So where is the rent? Hm?' Bardock groaned and glared at the horrid landlord and smashed his shoulder into the door causing it to open 'you'll get your rent when you fix this damn door!' He walked in and pulled Vegeta in and slammed the door shut. It then creaked open and he stood dumbfounded as did the landlord and they shared a look of awkwardness, Bardock looked around and grabbed the door 'uhhh....well....ca...can we pretend that the door stayed shut?' He said as he slowly pushed the door shut and the landlord nodded and walked away.
