ARIANA POV

I had called my mom in tears after the events that unfolded earlier. I didn't know what to do and she was my first person go to.
She always knew what to say and she always knew how to fix any situation, or at least come up with advice.
She came over and had brought Nonna too, which definitely brightened up my day.

Nonna had made her macaroni dish that she would always make since I was younger when I would be sad. Asides from Y/N earlier today, that was the only thing that had made me happy. My mom was sitting next to me as Nonna cooked.

"...At the end of the day, Ariana, you're going to have to make a decision. As you know, I don't have the most favourable opinion of Pete, but it's not fair to him to drag him on like this, despite his mistakes." My mom said as her hand was over mine and she was looking at me.

I pursed my lips knowing she was right. I had been putting it off for way too long. And that night I was with Y/N definitely confirmed that my chapter with Pete was over. She had brought out feelings I haven't felt since the beginning of my relationship.

I debated whether to tell them about Y/N. I had only been with men before. I knew they would be open as they were so accepting about Frankie, but I had a public image to maintain too. I had rules to follow as part of my contract to Scooter's label and it would definitely not be easy.

But then, what if I never saw her again? What would the point be of bringing her up now?

I mean, lately I have been drawn more to women generally and even if I didn't see Y/N again, I could start coming out to my family.

"At Tommy's party yesterday, I met a girl..." Fuck it. I had always been open to them about my life and whatever happened in it.

Nonna turned around from her cooking.

"Joan, you owe me 100 bucks." She simply said opening the palm of her hand to demand payment from my mom. I bursted out laughing.

"You bet on me?" I couldn't help but be amused by this situation. Typical Nonna.

My mom had gone over to my grandma with her purse to give her the 100 dollar bill.

"Ariana, I've been doing this parenting thing for centuries now. Don't think I don't notice hints. I may be old but not senile." Nonna said to me. I can't with Nonna, she's the best.

My mom laughed as she went back to sit next to me and Nonna was finishing up this meal I could not wait to eat.

"We talked for a little bit in Tommy's backyard, she didn't even know who I was." I explained to them the rest of the story of Y/N being drunk and me taking care of her and her sleeping over. I did emphasise that nothing had happened, and the next morning was perfect until Pete showed up.

"I just say, pull the bad Pete weed out of your garden, dear and plant new seeds. No sexual innuendos intended there by the way." Nonna said serving portions of her meal in plates and handing it to us. I laughed again at her inappropriateness.

"Whatever you decide to do Ariana, we will support you. It's important you make the decision yourself though." My mom was right.

We had continued the evening just talking about everything and nothing. It was actually nice to talk neither about Pete nor Y/N, as talking about Y/N would just hurt more.

Nonna and my mom both left a couple of hours later after we had spent some family quality time together. It was so refreshing and just what I had needed.

But now I found myself home alone as I cleaned up around the kitchen.

I hated being alone. It was such a big house with no life in it asides from me and my dogs. Thank god for them. I remember Y/N's comments about my house being the size of her neighborhood and chuckled at it.
