Chapter 9

Y/N POV

A few months had passed since I had last seen Ariana at her place but I still kept finding myself thinking about her from time to times.

It didn't help that Magnus kept bothering me about her and asking questions.
I don't know why he was so obsessed with the fact that I had stayed at hers. It's not like it was the first time I had stayed over at a girl's place.

I admit I may have had a slightly dramatic reaction when I found out she was engaged and regretted it everyday.
I should have kept my cool and tried to at least stay friends with the girl but I think from the way I stormed out and what I said, she probably wanted nothing to do with me ever again.

Tonight, Magnus was taking Jade and I to a masked Halloween party which I was actually happy about for once as I felt like I needed to get out. I had dedicated most of my time to work and it now came to a point where I needed a break and have some fun.

I decided to be Pennywise the dancing clown, cliché I know.
Ironic too because I was a clown in every sense of the word so at least one of these terms applied to me. I had found a really nice quality costume and a full face mask, so I didn't have to worry about being recognized.

"A cat? All in a leather tight fitting outfit? Really, Jade?" I heard Magnus say as I was heading downstairs.

They heard me coming down and both turned to look at me. It took them a split second before both of them exploded in fits of laughter.

"Wow. And I thought Jade's costume was bad." Magnus said, clearly making fun of me.

"Only Y/N could dress as a clown and pull it off." Jade joined Magnus in their attempts at verbally destroying my costume.

"Fuck you Garfield, and fuck you Thor." I looked at Magnus and his Thor costume.

"Only the Scandinavian could not hide in shame putting on a costume that only looks good in the movies." I said flipping both of them off.

"Come on we're running late. Apparently there's an opening ceremony for the party." Magnus said still laughing at this exchange and grabbed his car keys.

"Where are we going? You never tell us where you drag us too." Jade asked Magnus as we all headed out the door and locked it behind us.

"Why do you both care? It's not like any of you would know where I'm taking you anyways. Besides, I want to keep it a surprise. I know at least one of you will enjoy the party for sure."

I shrugged as I got in the car in the front passenger seat as usual. The drive there was a bit longer than usual. We pulled up in front of this mansion with 3D light show projections on the whole place. I did not recognize the house but it was also in the likes of Tommy's house.

"We're going to another one of your music industry buddies place?" I asked, feeling suddenly completely ridiculous in my costume.

"What makes you say that?" Magnus, stupidly asked.

"No fucking way any of our mutual acquaintances owns a house like this, dumbass." I said gesturing to the mansion covered in lights. "There's even Valet parking, what the actual fuck." I said pointing towards the entrance at the little stand saying "Valet".

He laughed and nervously shrugged it off.

We got out of the car and gave the keys to the valet who happily went to park Magnus's car.

The front door had this hypnotic spiral projection. A person greeted us at the door, very scary looking and who did all sorts of contortions.

"Welcome to the Twilight Zone. Your host is waiting inside." She said handing us, waving before creepily laughing.

"What the fuck did you bring us to?" I asked, elbowing Magnus on the side. I had to admit that I did get easily freaked out and this was really not helping.
