"Don't look down!" My eyes shot down right as Jax had said it. My heart drops the full 1,500 feet I was above the ground. "I told you not to look down," he chuckles to himself and keeps climbing to the top of the cliff.

"Why did you insist on me coming if you knew I was afraid of heights!" I was furious and also slightly terrified my rope was going to snap like a toothpick. I glance up at him and see he's getting smaller and smaller.

"Catch me if you can!" He yells in a sing-song voice. I climb faster, I'll catch him if it's the last thing I do. My hands find the rocks as if I was born to climb, I'll catch him. The dust from him kicking to climb faster hits my face, I spit to the side and keep climbing.

I get ever so close to him, he's looking down and smiling. I'll catch him, I'll catch him. Climb faster! I can do it! The wind rushes through my hair, the rocks crunch under my blistering fingertips, the dust crumbles under my feet.

"I feel alive!" The words rushed out of my mouth at the same time I lose my footing and I slip.
