Narrator POV~

With the first year setter practicing his serves, another orange haired spiker came in receiving the ball, yet still getting hit back and the ball going out.

This resulted in him getting yelled at by the blueberry.

The setter tried once more yet still, someone of great value, the guardian deity, rushed past the spiker and received it perfectly. The two that were in the gym were in shock and awe.

Hinata ran towards the male and realized, "Eh!? Are you shorter than me?!"

Nishinoya, the Guardian Deity, angrily replied,"Hey! What did you just say to me?"

"I-I'm sorry! Umm... may I ask how tall you are?"

"I'm 5'2!"

The tiny spiker was in shock, and it showed.

"Wh-what's it to you?!"

"It's my first time looking down at someone since joining a high school club!" Almost crying, Hinata said.

"Don't be moved to tears!!" Tic marks forming on the libero's face. "You're not looking that far down!"

The second and third years came into the gym only a few seconds afterwards.

"Hey, it's Noya!" Tanaka exclaimed.

"Hey, Ryu!" The male replied.

The third years replied their greetings to him.

Daichi said, "That's right, you've never met him. This is Nishinoya, a second year."

"Hello!"

"Yo! So you're first-years! You, the guy who just served, the tall one with the evil glare! Which middle school are you from?"

Kageyama replied,"Kitagawa First."

He leaned forward,"For real?! That school's for champs! That explains the serve! I lost to them 2-to-1 when I played against them in middle school."

The third year's sweat dropped from his outgoing personality.

"He's as chatty as ever."

The first-years asked questions about Nishinoya until he saw Kiyoko. He bounced over to her and gained a slap, and a very red mark on his face. He then came back and asked a very specific question, that made the third years and second years very uncomfortable, yet the first years were very confused and curious.

"So, where's Asahi and (M/N)? Are they back?"

"No..." The two looked away.

He gritted his teeth and said, "Those cowards!"

"Hey, Noya! That's no way to talk about your upperclassmen!" Tanaka shouted.

"Shaddap! A coward is a coward! If Asahi and (M/N) aren't coming back, I'm not coming back either!" Nishinoya stomped away with Tanaka calling after him.

Time Skip~

"Uh, Upperclassmen Nishinoya?" Hinata started, "Who is Asahi and (M/N), the people you mentioned before?"

Tanaka snapped up and said,"Idiot! Those are the names that must not be spoken!"

"He is the Ace of Karasuno, for now. And the other is a middle blocker, an amazing one."

"The Ace?"

"Why have you gone dumb?"

"I want to be the Ace!"
