"You speak of control, yet you court chaos." Thor says. We all pay our attention to him. The arguing we've all broken into dies down for it now has come to one person speaking at a time, finally.
"That's his M.O, isn't it? I mean, what are we, a team? No, we're a chemical mixture that makes chaos. We're a time bomb." Bruce says standing with Thor's words. I do agree also since Nick did hide things from us and expects us to not react. Chaos was brought in here because of his secrets.
"You need to step away." Nick threatens him. As if Nick shouldn't fear him and what he keeps within.
"Why shouldn't the guy let off a little steam?" Tony jumps in as he places his hand on Steve's shoulder. Steve doesn't look too pleased by it.
"You know damn well why. Back off!" Steve smacks Tony's hand away, but he doesn't seem to react badly to it. It's as if Tony is careless for others' emotions but his own.
"I'm starting to want you to make me." Tony challenges. This is a fight I'd like to watch.
"Yeah. Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, what are you?" Steve circles around him with a glare as if he's ready to go up against him.
"Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist." Is Tony's response. From the news, he's not wrong. Though I'd punch him right there and then, it would be too disrespectful for myself.
"I know guys with none of that worth ten of you. I've seen the footage. The only thing you really fight for is yourself. You're not the guy to make a sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over you." Tony seems unfazed from Steve's words. If anything, I think this amuses him. We all watch their argument and fund it hard to believe that they're not throwing punches already. They verbally attack one another as we just listen and watch.
To have Steve spit those words to Tony should be hurtful, at least I'd be hurt if he said that to me. I wouldn't want someone talking down on me like that; it's like I have no sense to defend myself.
"I think I would just cut the wire." Steve scoffs at Tony's comment. He looks at Bruce who seems intrigued with the argument they're having. But aren't we all?
"Always a way out? You know, you may not be a threat, but you better stop pretending to be a hero."
"A hero? Like you? You're a laboratory experiment, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle." Tony takes a step forward. Their tension seems to fill up the room. Though Tony isn't wrong, it's not like Steve has it all bad in here. He's saved more lives than I believe Tony would ever do.
"Put on the suit. Let's go a few rounds." Steve continues to challenge. I bite my cheek hoping it doesn't come to that. I know I want to see that happen, but maybe not in an aircraft.
"You people are so petty, and tiny." Thor says as he chuckles. If Thor was up against one of them, they'd be demolished.
"Yeah, this is a team." Bruce comments from the fact that they're all arguing. Steve and Tony break their tension and I stop biting my cheek.
