"Do it!" Steve shouts through the earpiece. If the portal can be shut down, then we can most certainly take on the aliens left here in New York. I'm glad there's a solution to this.
"No, wait." I hear Tony say. Why wait? Gives them more time to continue coming in and that's exactly what we don't want.
"Stark, these things are still coming."
"I got a nuke coming in. It's gonna blow in less than a minute." A nuke? Should I be concerned if Tony is handling it? I've never had a nuke threaten me like that and I don't know how to take it. I mean, what are we going to do for the meantime? "And I know just where to put it."
"Stark, you know that's a one way trip?" Steve says. With what Steve said, I automatically understood what they were talking about. tony is planning on moving that nuke into the portal, into space. For a second, I feel like that's a great idea. Natasha can close the portal as soon as Tony moves the nuke into the portal, but he wouldn't make it.
I hear firepower nearing and I look up to the sky and watch something big fly by. It's Tony Stark with the nuke. I look up in awe as I never thought the nuke would be that big. Tony reaches to his tower and turns the nuke up to the portal, and he disappears inside.
Seconds later after Tony went inside the portal, all the aliens dropped to the floor. Their lifeless bodies shut down and my inner me cheers as the outside hopes that Tony Stark makes it out somehow.
I see a bright light appear from the portal telling me the nuke has destroyed the main base from where the aliens come from. If we wait any longer, that explosion can reach to the portal.
"Close it." Steve says. I look at him in disbelief from how he'd let Tony die, but a part of me understands. I guess Natasha does as told and closes the portal. I watch the bright blue beam die down as the portal shuts. I close my eyes and my heart saddens for a Tony Stark.
"Son of a gun." I hear Steve say. I open my eyes and watch Tony fly out the portal, though he doesn't look like he's helping himself.
"He's not slowing down." Thor says as he starts wielding his hammer. I fly up and as I'm about to make my way to his falling body, the Hulk beat me to it. I place my feet back onto the ground and watch Hulk crash onto a building and fall to the ground. He throws Tony next to him and we all run to him.
Thor flips his body over and rips off the golden mask. We look at him and notice that he's not moving. He's probably.. gone. First is Coulson, and now it's Tony. Loki has really done the job. Steve, Thor and I bow our heads.
But we all startle from the roar being let out by Hulk. I look down as Tony gasps in fright. I smile and sigh in relief. He's alive... I'm glad he's alive. He did just save everyone. Hulk continues to roar practically scaring everyone including me.
"What the hell." Tony says as his eyes are now wide open. "What just happened? Please tell me nobody kissed me."
With that stupid comment, we all smile and chuckle. Of course the Tony Stark would joke about his almost death.
