Those exact words will play on repeat in your head, circling your thoughts until you break down into nothing. Those words helped you stay on your feet, keep your confidence level high, the reason that every girl was jealous of you. Those words were the reason why your heart was racing, the reason why your cheeks heat up. Those words were your life, and he was trying to kill you.

It was 2am, you were wide awake, your mind overpowering itself with thoughts of someone that you thought, loved you. The day you and him became a couple, the news spreading around the school faster than you could say his name. He knew what he did, he done it on purpose, as if he was dared to do such a thing...nah, too cliché. He knew what he was doing because he was pressured into doing it, not by his friends, but the whole damn school. The whole fucking school didn't approve you and him, and they didn't want you guys together. Mattia, out of all people, cheated on you. Never in a million years would you think mattia would do such a thing, but what you witnessed the other night would leave your heart shattered for a while. And the only person who could heal you, was Mattia.

BACK TO THE PAST!!

Mattia couldn't take it any longer, and he knew better than to listen to the hate that people gave him. He thought he was used to something so powerful considering that he gets hate from social media 24/7. But hate from social media, and hate from school, which meant people in real life...it's a whole different thing. Instead of reading it, your hearing it everywhere, from everyone, all around you. And mattia couldn't take that. He knew he was strong, he knew not to take bullshit from people, but he couldn't help but feel insecure with you. It fucked up his head when people gave you ugly looks and weird stares. Mattia wanted to protect you, but he couldn't, he wasn't strong as he thought he was.

"Why are with her?"

"Umm, you can do better mattia".

"I didn't know that was your type of girl".

Everyone judged you by your looks, though what they didn't know was that...you actually had a body. You just decided to wear clothes no one else would wear. You weren't a basic bitch like everyone else, you wore what you wanted, and that just so happens oversized hoodies, leggings and vans. Though other girls thought that your style was out of it, you didn't listen to them. They hated your appearance, and they thought that's what mattia liked. Yes, it was, but little did they know, was that he didn't care how you looked, it was your dark sense of humor, your sarcasm, your personality that made him attached to you. But, mattia let the hateful words get to him, causing him to cheat. He was scared to tell you in person, he was scared to even message you, a bitchy move but he was still terrified. So he cheated.

You walked out of the school, smiling. The thought of mattia holding you when you got home after school made you smile. He didn't come to school that day because his mama wanted him to stay back and help her with a few things, it sounded pretty unbelievable, but you just let it slide.

"Okay baby, I'll see you after school, I love you".

Mattia stayed silent.

"Okay, bye".

He hung up the phone. You frowned and shoved it off, maybe he was just too busy to say it, even though it was only a few words, he might have been called over by his mama. Yeah, that's it....no, that wasn't it actually.

He didn't want to go into school that day to be seen with you. He didn't want to hear the hateful words, the stares, he just didn't want to be with you, it ruined his image for everyone, and he hated it. Mattia sighed and ruffled his hair.

"Fuck this school!"

He didn't want to hurt you. He didn't want to break your heart because he knew that he was the first ever boyfriend you've had. Mattia got up and decided to go to the mall to get things off his mind. He reached into his pocket and went into his contacts, calling someone he thought he'll never call again.

"Oh hey mattia, came crawling back?"

"Shut up, I'll pick you up in 10".

And with that, mattia left his home and picked up the girl.

You, on the other hand, wanted to surprise mattia. You decided that the mall was an option, so after school, you headed to your car and backed out of the driveway, making your way towards the mall. Mattia was going through your mind, his smile, his laugh, his eyes, he made you happy, and you loved him for that. You parked your car and got out, walking into the mall, you walked into a couple stores, buying chocolates, Cheetos, a couple champion hoodies, and sweats, you got him a special necklace, having to wait 20 minutes to get his and your initials ingraved into the gold heart locket. You smiled once you bought it, you quickly put in a small picture of you and mattia on your first date, putting it in the locket, kissing it and closing it. You headed back to your car, only to see mattia walk through the doors....with another girl. You stopped and looked at him, he was holding her hand. You watched as he turned to her and kissed her. When you blinked, tears feel down your face. Everyone else didn't matter, everyone's voices faded out as your eyes were focused on mattia. The only person who made you happy, the only person that made you feel loved. Your heart shattered at the sight before you. Mattia saw you and his eyes went wide, he shook his head and quickly ran over to you. He engulfed you in a hug, holding you. You cried into his arms, you didn't push him away, you didn't yell at him, you just cried.

"B-baby, I'm sorry".

You just stood there, He pulled away and looked at you, your eyes filled with tears. He wiped them away and kissed your cheek, you missed him so much, you wanted him to kiss you, wanted him to make you smile, but he was trying to kill you. You planned a future with him, he was the one and only. But he crushed it all.

"I got you something mattia".

You'd muffled and wiped away your tears. Handing over the heart locket. You gave him the rest of the gifts and walked away.

"Y/n!"

You ran out of the mall, into your car.

"I fucking hate you!"

You screamed, causing some heads to turn your way. You wanted it to be him, the one you would have children with, the you'd marry, the shoulder you'd cry on, not the one who made you cry. And the word part of it all was...it was with his ex, Cynthia.

Mattia stood there, realizing at some point he was crying too. He looked down at the heart locket, seeing his and yours initials on the heart, he opened it and saw your beautiful face, the first date. He cried in the middle of the crowded mall. Wishing that somehow he could turn back time and just went to school, he wished that somehow he wasn't so selfish, thinking about himself and his reputation. He was stupid to hurt you. He loved you so much but he let the hate get to him. He wished that somehow, "sorry", would make it better. But it was too later.

"I'm so sorry baby".
