Gender reveal

I'm 4 months pregnant and today I have a doctors appointment. I'm gaining weight and formed a bump. I just got out the shower and put on black leggings and a hoodie. Luke was wearing black jeans and a hoodie. I picked out black leggings and a purple hoodie for Kayla. "Kayla put your shoes on" I said. She grabbed her crocs off the floor and put them on her feet. "Thank you" I said. "Ready" luke asked coming downstairs with his wallet and phone in his hand. "Yeah" I said grabbing my phone and purse. We brought Kayla to the doctor with us because after we're going to eat lunch somewhere.

"Hanna smith" a women said. She lead us to a room and took my blood pressure and weight. "The doctor will be in shortly" she said before leaving. A few minutes later the doctor came in. "How are you feeling Hanna" the doctor asked. "Pretty good" I said. "Still having morning sickness" the doctor asked. "Yes" I said. "I see you've gain some weight from the last time I saw you" she said looking at the computer. "So today I want to do a ultra sound and take some blood" she said. "Ok" I said. "Could you pull your shirt up please and lay down" she asked. I did what she asked. "I'm going to put gel on your stomach it's going to be cold" she said. "Ok" I said. When she put the gel on my stomach it was cold. "Here's the head, the feet, the arms" she said as she pointed to what she was showing us. "The baby looks good. I don't see any problems" she said. "Would you like to know the gender" she asked. I looked at luke and he nodded his head yes. "Yes please" I said. "Your having a healthy baby girl" she said. I felt a tear run down my cheek. I'm having a girl, Kayla's going to have a little sister. "Would you like a picture" she asked. "Please" luke said. She wiped the gel off and said she'd be back. Luke got up and grabbed my hand. "we're having a girl" luke said. "We're having a girl" I said smiling. "She's going to have a little sister" luke said. "I think she'll like that" I said. "Yeah she would" he said. "Your going to be the only boy" I said. "I guess we're going to have to have another baby so I'm not" luke said smirking. "Slow your roll I'm still pregnant with the second I don't know about a third" I said. "I'll save this conversation for later" he said. The doctor walked in and handed luke the picture of our baby girl. Luke and Kayla waited in the waiting room while she took my blood. I made my next appointment then we left and went to a restaurant to eat lunch. When we got back home I laid down on the couch and watched tv while luke was in his office and Kayla was in her room playing with her toys. I was looking online for baby stuff. Like clothes and stuff for her nursery. I didn't start looking for stuff for the baby because I wanted to know the gender first. Now that I know it's a girl I'm looking for girl colors like pink and purple. "Hey babe what you doing" Luke asked walking in the living room. "Looking online for stuff for the baby" I said. "Oh we need to figure out how we're going to decorate the nursery" Luke said sitting next to me on the couch. "Yea which guest room are we going to use" I asked. "What about the one next to our room" Luke asked. "Yeah that works for me" I said. "I was thinking we paint the room a light pink or purple" I said. "Just let me know a certain color and I'll paint it" Luke said.   Me and Luke were scrolling through Pinterest looking at nursery ideas on my phone. We found some that we liked but weren't sure which one we were going to do yet. Like made dinner and I helped him with the easy cooking stuff. "Kayla dinners ready" I said from the bottom of the stairs. She walked downstairs and sat at the table. We ate dinner then I gave kayla a bath and she put her pajamas on. "Time for bed" I said walking into her room. "Can I stay up a little longer please" she asked. "Ok I'll make a deal with you, I'll let you stay up and watch 1 episode of peppa pig then you go to bed" I said. "Ok thank you mommy" she said.

30 minutes later 9:40pm
I opened Kayla's door and she was sleep with the tv on. I turned the tv off and kissed her head. "Goodnight baby" I said before shutting the door. "Kayla sleep" Luke asked. "Yea she asked me if she could stay up later and I said yea. when I went in there she was sleep with the tv on" I said. "Oh" he said. I got in bed and laid  down. Luke put his phone on the nightstand and started rubbing my stomach. "Hi baby, it's your mommy and daddy here. We're so excited to meet you so is your big sister Kayla. We can't wait to see your beautiful face. We're going to give you so much love" Luke said. I love you so much, your going to be an amazing dad" I said watching him talk to our baby in my stomach. "I love you too babe" Luke said before he kissed me on the lips.
