it's only been a few days
since you told me you were unfit
and i'm still waiting for a word
that shows me you regret it
how can i move on
when i don't know why you left
i'm standing in one place
pathetically distressed
there are times that just keep
replaying in my stubborn head
when i'm laying down to sleep at night
and thinking of things you said
it's the night you proudly asked me
if you could soley be mine
so we laid in bed for hours
lips talking through our wine
you tried to play my guitar
but you didn't really know how
so i wrapped my arms around you
and taught you to play a sound
i'll remember that night always
since it showed me your truth
so i'm still just waiting around
with you lingering in my room
