(For once, a yandere.)

"Back the fuck off."

His words nearly echoed. They would have had the room not been so filled with people. But his demand nonetheless seemed to bounce off the walls, and the silence that they brought on was palpable. They were all staring, one or two with their mouths agape in surprise. Since when had he ever spoken like this?

It hadn't always been like this. Things hadn't always been like walking on eggshells, with your anxiety rising to the point of no return. But something inside of him had changed, and this was the instant that proved it.

Seán frowned a touch, his hands raised up in a defensive manner. "Hey, man, no harm done, all right? It was just a friendly hug."

But it was too late, as you were pulled aside and therefore out of anyone's reach, right out the door and into the crisp winter air. Snowflakes had begun to fall gently, catching in your hair and eyelashes. You looked beautiful under the lamplight, and he knew it. You took his breath away in that one moment, and it did a lot to soften him from his sudden surge of anger.

Something terrible was happening.

"Will you go out with me?" His goofy grin slowly appeared on his face as he awaited your answer.

Your cheeks burned. You had known Mark for how long now? You had lost track of the years. His fame had gone through the roof in such a short time, and he had truly gotten better with age. And, to be honest, you had always harbored a little crush on the Korean male.

So to have him ask you out was...

"Of course, yes!" You giggled a little in your excitement, hands covering your mouth. To be asked out by Mark! You wanted to crow to strangers, to anyone who would listen, really. Your heart was soaring.

That first date had gone off without a hitch, and was, of course, not nearly as cheesy as his "A Date With Markiplier" sketch. But there had been a rose given, you had been taken out to eat and for dessert, and the whole wonderful experience had ended with a kiss. A long awaited gesture that made you feel like fainting, but only in the best way possible. Mark was charming as ever, maybe a little on the goofy side, but when was he not?

Time flew by, and soon six months had passed. He didn't have to introduce you to friends, as you already knew them well enough, and so that saved a lot of awkward moments. Mark was attentive, loving, and always considerate. There was never a decision made without him gaining your opinion- and sometimes advice or approval- first. Even when he was recording, he would call you beforehand to see what you thought of his ideas. They were lovely gestures, and showed that he truly trusted you.

It started small. And poor Ethan did not deserve whatever had been done to him.

Showing up at the house, you gave him a hug as you always did, given happily. But unbeknownst to you, Mark had seen it. Ethan had stopped by to help record a new video, but after the hug he was pulled aside. Their words were hushed, but you could sense Mark's firm tone in his voice, as quiet as it was.

Then there was some sort of commotion, and you caught a glimpse of Ethan hurrying back out the front door, one hand over his face.
