Sonic: The Guardian Hedgehog of the Echidna

Echidnas meets Mobians

The next day, Sonic went to visit the Mobian camp to bring flowers to Sally, to express how he feels about her, and perhaps ask her something, he's been wanting to ask. But when he arrive to the Mobian camp, he saw that Sally and her family are packing their stuffs, and wonder why. When Sally was finishing packing her stuffs, she saw that Sonic has arrive.

Sally: Oh, hello, Sonic. Sorry for seeing us on a rush. But the boat that will take us back home, will be arriving so soon, since we couldn't find echidna's.
Sonic: (Gives Sally flowers)
Sally: Oh thank you, Sonic. They're very lovely.
Sonic: Sally stays with Sonic

Sally was shock to hear that Sonic wants her to stay with him, and that's when she realize that he has a crush on her, just like she has a crush on him. But she wasn't sure if her family would agree of her not going home with them.

Sally: Oh, I'm sorry, Sonic. But I belong to Mobotropolis with my family. But if you like, you could come with us, to see Mobotropolis.
Sonic: (Think for a moment) Sonic go with Sally to her home and family, and Sonic return to his home and family tomorrow.
Sally: Oh, I'm sorry, Sonic, but Mobotropolis is too far away. (Sigh) I'm sorry, Sonic. (Leaves)

Drago notice that Sonic is upset, because Sally refuse to stay with him. So, he had an idea, which could make Sonic lead them to the echidna's.

Drago: Hello Sonic, I see that your upset because Sally refuse to stay with you. But don't you worry, I have an idea that would make her want to stay. All you have to do is take us to the echidna's, that's all you have to do, and then Sally would want to stay with. So, what do you think?

Sonic still didn't like the idea of him taking Mobian's to see the echidna's, and he know, the only way to do that is to keep Athair out of the way. But Sonic still wants Sally to stay with him. So, he agree with Drago's idea.

Sonic: I'll do it.
Drago: Good

After Sonic left, Drago was happy to hear that his plan is working very well. Because what the Mobians don't know is that Drago has an evil plan to capture all the echidna's. When Sonic was in the forest, he went to talk to his brothers and friends of his secret plan.

Knuckles: Sonic, exactly how are you going to take your girlfriend and her family to see our family, without our grandfather noticing?
Sonic: Knuckles, all you and your friends have to do is to keep Athair out of the way.
Julie-Su: What!? There is no way, we are doing this!
Vector: Yah, we would get so much trouble.
Charmy: And think about what your parents would say?
Espio: I'm sorry, Sonic, but our answer is no.
Sonic: Guys, I'm asking y'all as a friend. (Cute eyes)
Knuckles: (Sigh) All right will do it.
Julie-Su: But you better not make me do anything embarrassing.

Sonic showed them the clothes that they should be wearing to like Mobians and fool  Athair. So, Sonic can take Sally and her family to see the echidna's. But when they put on the clothes, Julie-Su started to not like wearing a Mobian dress and make up.

Julie-Su: (Angry) Oh, I am going to kill him!
Knuckles: Actually, I think you look better in that dress.
Julie-Su: Oh really? Thank you.

When Knuckles, Julie-Su, Vector, Espio, and Charmy heard Athair roaring, they started to run as fast as they could. When Athair saw them wearing Mobian's clothes, he thought that they were Mobain's and started to chase them. When the coast was clear, Sonic took Princess Sally, King Max, Queen Alicia, Prince Elias, and Drago to see his echidna's family. When Locke and Lara saw Sonic coming back, they were happy to see him coming back so early. But when they saw him bring his new Mobian friends, they were scared for what their son has done. When Sonic spotted his echidna parents, he knew that this was the opportunity for the Mobians to meet the echidna's. The Mobians were happy to meet two echidna.

Sally: I don't believe its an echidna.
King Max: Why, they're magnificent.
Queen Alicia: They're colorful.
Prince Elias: They're extraordinary.
Sonic: They're my parents.
Sally: (Shock) Your parents.

Everyone was shock to hear that Sonic was not only raised by echidna's, but was also adopted by echidna's. Sonic notice that his parent's are afraid of the Mobian's. So, he talk to them in their language, to let them know that everything is OK, and the Mobian's aren't hear to harm them. But they started to hide in the bushes. So, Sonic kept on calling them and so did Sally and her family, until all the echidnas came out of their hiding places, and started to get to know the Mobians. Prince Elias started to become friends with the echidnas by showing them pictures and his stuffs that are harmless. When the baby echidna's saw Sally, they tried to scare her, but notice that she is harmless and started to play with her. When Locke and Lara saw their family being friends with the Mobians, they came out of the bushes and started to become friends with King Max and Queen Alicia. Drago look at the view of where the echidna's were hiding, and notice that his plan is working very well. When the baby echidna's were playing with Sally, Sonic called them in their language, and they started to play with him. Sally smile a little to see the echidna's treating Sonic like he was their own, and started to want to learn how to speak echidna language.

Sally: Can you teach me?
Sonic: Speak echidnas?
Sally: mmhm

Sonic started to teach Sally how to speak echidna, step by step, until she finally got it. So, she decided to try to speak to the baby echidna's.

Sally: (Echidna language) Sally stays with Sonic.
Baby Echidna's: (Happy)
Sally: (Giggles) What did I just say?
Sonic: Sally stays with Sonic.
Sally: (Upset) But Sonic, I...

Sonic and Sally then heard Knuckles, Julie-Su, and their friends coming their way, and Athair chasing them. When Athair saw Sally and her family, he got angry and started to scare them away. Sally and her family ran as fast as they could before things got worst. Sonic was scare to see Athair scare away the creatures who are like him. Athair was disappointed of Sonic for not listening him, and starts to think that Sonic will never become a guardian.

Athair: (Talks to Locke) You said you will raise this creature to become a Guardian and to protect our family. But instead, you almost made him to bring danger to our family. You should have left him to die, when you found him in the first place.

Sonic felt very upset for what Athair said to him, that he ran off. Locke felt very upset for Sonic, because Athair blame Sonic for bringing the Mobians to their homes. So, Locke decided to talk with Sonic and tell him where he comes from.

Lara: Locke, where are you going?
Locke: I'm going to do something what I should have done for a long time. Tell Sonic the truth.
Lara: Are you sure you wan't to do this?
Locke: It's the right thing to do.

Locke went off to find Sonic, which made Lara to feel worry and wonder if Sonic wants to go with the Mobians. When Locke found Sonic, he saw hanging in a tree very confuse for what Athair said.

Sonic: I'm... so confuse.
Locke: (Sigh) Come with me. There's something I should have shown you, long ago.

Sonic followed Locke and wondered what was something, that he should have shown him in the first place.
