*Inner thoughts
'I was walking through a hallway with countless doors that wouldn't open. The hallway would twist and turn but never end, and the more I walked, the darker the hallway would grow. I would keep walking until it was too dark for me to even see my own hands. I gave up and just sat down waiting for something to happen.'

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! 🚨
"Mmm? Ughhhh!" I mumbled before knocking my alarm clock to the floor. "The same dream?" I thought to myself while sleepily got out of bed and stretching. I always have the same dream every night and it never changes.
'I should get that checked.'
I walked towards my closet and pick out my clothes for the day.'Does this match my hair?' The reason I think that is because I have purple hair, and being honest...that doesn't give me a lot of choices on clothes, so I tested the outfit and..."Yeah, this will work."
I walked downstairs into the kitchen where my mom was currently making breakfast. And OMG did it smell heavenly. As I was energetically whiffing the sweet smell of pancakes, my mother saw me and greeted me in the same fashion she always does. "Good morning Nora!" She said with a sweet smile.
"Morning mom," I replied while settling into a seat.
"Oh! Did you get your homework done?" She asked.
"Yup! All done." I said as she put a plate of fresh pancakes in front of me... although technically I still haven't finished my English homework. 'Aww, who cares! I hate English anyway!'.
I stuffed my face while my mother washed the dishes. Once I finished my breakfast I got my plate and placed it into the sink. I got my backpack and turned to my mom.
"I am going to school now. Bye! Love you!" I said before walking out of the house.
"Bye, sweetie! Have a good day at school!" She yelled from inside.
As I walking down the driveway, I looked around to see if anybody was in the range of sight. After seeing that nobody was around, I stopped and opened a purplish portal before jumping through it.
I landed in an abandoned factory close to my high school. I closed the portal and started walking out of the building. Once I reached the street, I thought about what I would say to my mom if she ever found about my second life as a vigilante.
'Well, we live in California, which if you think about it, is like...a long distance away from New York. And the way I can get there without having to go on a plane is quite simple. I have superpowers. Well specifically, I can open portals.
And I've had these powers ever since I was about 7 years old. Though I have no idea how or why I have them. I was hoping you could tell me.'
After about 5 minutes of walking, I finally made it to school.
"Whew! Made it!" I said feeling accomplished.
"Well, well, well! Would you look at this! Nora finally made it to school early!" I heard a voice say behind me.
I gasped before turning around, "Michael!" I hugged him like it was the last day of my life. He in turn blushed but hide his face while returning the hug. Michael has dark brown wavy hair with light brown eyes. He also has freckles on his cheeks, though you can only see them if you get close enough.
"Woah! Someone was lonely!" He said.
"Of course I was! Your in none of my classes! Who do you expect me to talk to!?" I said exaggeratedly.
"Uh, other people." He suggested.
"Noooooo!" I complained.
"Sigh."
"So! What class are you going to next?" I asked letting go.
"Math." He replied with a smile.
"Sigh. I have English next...Oh crap! I didn't do the homework!" I said finally remembering.
"Hahahaha! Then you better do it quickly!" He said before walking down the hall. I speed walked to my class in hope of being able to get some work done but when I reached the door the bell rang signifying that class was about to start. 'Welp. I'm dead.'
