*Inner thoughts
"Gasp!" I jolted awake. The dream had ended differently this time, I was able to open a door and walk through it. But that's where it ended. 'I wonder what it means..'
I looked over at my alarm clock to see that it was 7:00. 'Huh? Never woke up that early before.' I got up from my bed and walked over to the closet to pick out my clothes for the day. "Let's see, hmm, maybe a jean jacket with...oh! Black pants!" After changing into my clothes, I walked into the bathroom to brush my teeth.
After 5 minutes, I walked out of the bathroom and got my backpack. I was about to go downstairs before noticing my bag in the closet. I walked over to it and put my hand on it. My senses suddenly heightened, and I felt as if I needed to bring my bag with me because something would happen. I already know that if I feel like something is going to happen, it's going to happen.
I picked up my bag and put it over my shoulder. Now that I had it with me, I felt more relaxed. I walked downstairs to find that my mother was not in the kitchen. "Huh?" I walked over to the fridge to see a note that read, "Sorry I had to leave early for work Nora. Your breakfast is in the fridge. Hope you like it!"
After reading the note, I opened the fridge to find a lunch box with 💜 it. I grabbed the lunch box and closed the fridge. After looking at the clock I saw that it was 7:30. 'Wow. I would usually still be in bed by now. But I don't feel like eating. Maybe I can share it with Micheal once I get to school.'
After deciding that I would take my breakfast to school, I put the lunch box into my backpack and walked out the door. I turned around at the empty house, before locking the door.
I got my phone out while slowly walking down the pathway and looked at the 'New York Times'. "Ugh! Of course, they put that I ran off in the end!" I put my phone into my pocket annoyingly before looking up.
"What the freak!?!" I screamed out after seeing that there was a portal in our pathway. 'Did I accidentally open a portal in my sleep?' I was cautious when examining the portal, as to not fall into it.
After looking at it for a few seconds, I realized that this portal looked different from my own. "It's not mine?" I said to myself, wondering how it could be possible since I am the only person in the world that has the power to open portals...or at least I think I am.
After pondering on the question for a few minutes, I finally decided to just put my hand through it and see what happens. 'Hopefully, it doesn't close and cut my hand off. That would hurt.'
I raised my hand and slowly reached out towards the portal. The closer my hand got to it, the more it seemed to draw me in. After what seemed like an eternity, my hand finally reached the portal.
