I ran over to Adam, I grabbed his hand as I pulled him up, I ran over to Qrow only to find he had already fallen, 'no...' I wanted to save them both, "whoa!" Adam shouted as the old house hit some trees, "whoa! Hold on!" He shouted again as he grabbed onto me, we fell into the water. I gasped for air as he looked at me, he swam with the current and grabbed me. "Adam!" I shouted as he held me close to him, "shit!" he shouted as he turned his back to something with me in front of him. He let out a grunt and everything went black. I woke up a few hours later, the sun was shining, I was on Adam, I groaned as I tried to move but everything was hurting. I looked at Adam who wasn't breathing, his mask was off and his eyes were closed. "Adam..." I started as I moved off of him, "Adam!" I shouted as I shook up, I moved his face, I opened his mouth to make sure his airway was cleared, it was so I placed my lips on him and started to give him CPR. He coughed up some water as I helped him get to his side, he spat the water and gasped for air. "Adam?" I asked as he coughed again and looked at me, "Y/n! Are you okay?" he asked as tears threatened my eyes, "I-I let Qrow die...Ruby and Yang are going to hate me for forever" I cried as he pulled me into a tight hug, "I'm so sorry my love" he spoke as I cried into his chest, after a few minutes we went back to the White Fang.

~A month later~

I sighed as I sat in a tree, I was doing an infiltration mission with Adam, who was late. He landed beside me and crouched down, "what'd I miss?" he asked as I stared at the compound we were infiltrating, "nothing...it's been quiet" I told him as we looked at each other, "now's the time" he spoke as I nodded, Adam and I jumped out of the tree and jumped over the fence that was there, he had never got his jacket back from me, but he was okay with it because he wore something different now (season five outfit) we hid behind a crate, "Y/n, now" he whispered as I nodded, I snuck behind an Atlas knight and put him in a chokehold. The mission went smoothly, I walked into our shared tent and threw a dagger at a dartboard he kept in there for entertainment. I removed my weapon and lay down on the bed, "ugh! I'm so tired" I spoke as he chuckled and lies down beside me. He wrapped his arms around me and brought me closer to him. "Y/n, I have a question..." he spoke as I rolled over and looked at him, "what's that?" I asked removing his mask because I didn't like it when he wore it when it was just the two of us. He pulled a little velvet box out of his pocket and looked at me. "Will you marry me?" he whispered as he opened the box to reveal a beautiful ring. I smiled "Yes," I told him as he smiled, he slid the ring onto my finger and kissed me. "I swear, I will not make the same mistakes as last time that caused you to leave" he spoke as I smiled.
