"Stay Golden"
Four young mermaids must redeem themselves with their pod after neglecting their duties and allowing a land boy to fall into the Moon Pool transforming him into a merman.
Luna was just doing her preparation for the full moon on the leeward side of the island when a boat comes into view. There are land people on the boat, 2 boys. One had a slight tan with straight dirty blonde hair, while the second boy had tan skin with brown hair. She waits for them to stop before going to inform the others on patrol. When she arrives she just missed Lyla, who was going on her round of Mako.
"-er in charge" was all that Luna managed to catch Nixie say to Serena.
"A boat with land people on it is at the leeward side of Mako!" Luna exclaimed to her companions. They looked shocked at the sudden statement.
"Don't worry we will deal with it. Lyla is on the far shore can you get the rest while we are at the leeward side?" Serena surprisingly stated with authority.
"Are you sure? Shouldn't we inform the rest of the pod?" Questioned Luna with worry in her voice?
"No!" Nixie shouted suddenly. "We can handle it! Trust us and just patrol the rest of the area around Mako. Okay?" She assured in a much calmer tone than before. Before Luna could even respond both Nixie and Serena dove under the water and headed to the boat.
Luna lets out an aggravated sigh before going on patrol for the rest of the island.

The moon had just risen as Luna enters the moon pool, joining her fellow mermaids.
When she rises above the water she sees Lyla and Nixie glaring at each other.
"Did I miss something?" Luna asked with a raised brow.
"No!" They both shout at the same time.

"Man, I just can't wait for my training to be over." Nixie says to Serena, trying to pass time until the moon is fully over head.
"Me too." Serena beams at Nixie, cheerful as always.
"Shh. It's starting." Lyla says to the duo with a neutral expression on her face.
All four mermaids look up, memorized by the beauty of the full moon, while lying back in the water as to not crane their necks. The moon peaks it's way slowly over the top of the volcano, causing the water to bubble and give all the girls a feeling of calmness and serenity.

As the moon is in the direct center of the volcano opening, the girls go into a trans-like state of full relaxation with no worry of the future.
Until a gold light shine through rocks on the inside of the volcano. It flashes a bright golden light and the brunet land boy falls into the moon pool, pushing Luna back by his force of the plunge.
This ultimately sends her head into the ledge of the pool harshly. Resulting in her being knocked out.
The other girls were too shocked about the land boy in the moon pool to notice.

The girls finally come out of their shocked state when the moon passes the opening of the Volcano. Though none of them notice Luna sinking to the bottom of the pool, unconscious, leaving a small trail of blood.
They grab him and rush to the water opening, speeding past their fellow pod member.

They were still slightly shocked as they return to the pool, causing them to worry about how much trouble they will get into for this occurrence.
As they argue about wether to tell the pod or not, Aquata, Serena's sister and another pod member, Bonnie, enter the pool.
"Handle what?" Aquata asks with a scolding tone. "What happened here last night? And where is Luna?"
As if the girls just realized that Luna was not with them, they look at each other with furrowed eyebrows and confusion in the eyes. Though the young mermaids don't get a chance to answer because Aquata suddenly catches sight of a slight red trail near the bottom of the pool.
She immediately dives down and rushes to Luna, cautiously cradling her head, which is still slightly bleeding. She rushes to break to the surface, and when she does the present mermaids gasp at how bad she looks.
Her once tan skin is now an unnaturally pale, she also had dark circles under her eyes.
"What did you do?" Aquata asks horrified. Bonnie quickly brings her fist straight in front of her, a concentrated look upon her face. Her moon ring suddenly glows blue, along with Luna's body.
As soon as the blue light fades from her body, she gasps awake her eyes wide open. Her once whiskey brown eyes, glowed a brilliant sea green, looking like the embodiment of the sea. With that final breath she succumbs in to unconsciousness once again.

Luna was brought to the specific healer mermaids while Aquata and Bonnie go back to the three teenage mermaids to know what had occurred last night.

When Luna awakes for good, she is with the healer mermaids, Jenny and Eliza. After making sure she is okay, other than her now sea green eyes, she was sent to talk to Bonnie.

When she finds her, Bonnie explained that the rest of the pod is leaving. That Lyla, Nixie, Serena, and herself are cast out because the land boy got powers from being in the moon pool.

When she arrives back into the pool Aquata is exiting, with red rimmed eyes. As Luna emerges from the water she sees Serena crying while Lyla and Nixie have devastated looks on their faces.
Luna doesn't say anything she just swims over and starts to comfort Serena.
"Where will we go?" Luna asks, her voice filled with worry as she is still recovering from the shock of the situation and her head injury.
"We're not going anywhere. We're going to put this right." Nixie states with a determined look on her face.
"How?" Serena asks as she continues to cry over the fact that she may never see her sister again.
"We'll find a way. We have to." Lyla says, her voice breaking towards the end.
