Chapter 3

We went downstairs to find my mum on the sofa watching Dr Phil, she looked so beautiful in the lighting, my mum has short brown hair and large brown eyes like mine, she was small and slim like me, I loved her so much. She was an amazing mum. "Mum! Kelly is staying here tonight, were going out now, we shouldn't be long" I said as she turns to face me.

"No problem, honey, bring your house key with you because im going to bed soon" I smiled and took my keys out of the bowl at the door and we left.

I never went out around Glenroy so I didn't know where anything was or who anybody was. Mum knew a few people, but I didn't at all. We walked down my street towards the end of it and turned left, after a few blocks of walking we found a park, it was dark by this stage. Kelly was skipping and laughing, i was a bit confused about why she was taking me here, but i just went with it, I'm sure Kelly had something good if i knew her well enough. The park had street lamps so we still felt safe.

"I've got a surprise for you! Wait here" Kelly said, as she began to jog around the corner and out of sight. I was going to call after her but I didn't see the point.

I leaned against a lamp, I looked around and noticed there weren't any people around. I heard some rustling and I stood still. I turned my head slightly to the side and looked around I couldn't see anybody. I then noticed a group of boys walking up the street, they must have made the noise. I turned back around and began fiddling with the hem of my tee shirt. She soon returned with two bags in her hand.

"Whats that?" I asked, as she neared me she gave me a cheeky grin, she opened the bags and showed me inside. Vodka and beer! I laughed and said, "Really? We're going to get drunk? Where did you get this stuff anyway?"

She smiled and said" I got it earlier and hid it in the bush" she laughed. I smiled and grabbed a bottle of vodka from the bag, might as well. The park was nearly empty so we went and found a secluded spot under a tree. I began to down the bottle, it burned my throat but it felt good.

I sat back against tree and rested my head, i could feel the effects kicking in, my eyesight was becoming blurry and i was getting quite unsteady. I looked towards Kelly and laughed she had downed 2 beers, she looked over and laughed, she then grabbed the vodka and took a swig. I laughed uncontrollably at her reaction, she grabbed her throat and started coughing.

"ewww" she grabbed another beer and drank some to take away the taste of the vodka, " how do you drink that shit Ashley! it tastes like Nail polish remover" i giggled at that.

"And you know what nail polish remover tastes like?" she slapped my arm and then laughed.

"Shutup smartass!!" she said

I grabbed the bottle back and took some more. It felt good to let loose, i loved getting drunk, it made me forget everything.

We sat there for hours knocking back shots and cans of beer. It was 12AM at this stage and I was utterly drunk. Kelly was the same. i had to laugh at a drunk Kelly, she was hilarious, she can never shutup. We heard laughing coming from behind us but I ignored it. I took another drink of a beer. A few seconds later, 3 boys popped up beside us. I let out a little yelp. They all laughed.

"Did your mother not tell you it's rude to sneak up on people?" I said, slurring my words.

"My momma told me not to get drunk in a deserted park at midnight actually" The one with Curly hair said. I couldn't help but notice that they all looked quite alike. They looked like triplets! But then I studied them more, no, one was a little older looking and the other 2 looked identical.

"You brothers?" I said, giggling even though I didn't know why.

"Good observation babe" the oldest said. I rolled my eyes and turned back to my beer.

"Wanna share? I'm Beau by the way" I turned to Kelly, she was checking him out obviously unaware that he was asking us a question.

"Come join boys!" I giggled. They laughed at my reaction and sat down beside us. I looked at the twins, there were differences but it was too dark for me to study them. I noticed one of them was watching me, the one with the wavy hair. He turned away when he saw that I was looking at him. I then felt a sudden urge to pee, great.

I turned around to face Kelly who was completely taken by Beau. "I needa pee! I'll see ya in like 3 minutes" I jumped up and stumbled into the forest area of the park. It was really dark in here but it didn't bother me. I found a suitable bush not too far from the group; I heard creaks coming from the tree near to me but took no notice. Once done, I got up and began making my way back towards the group, i heard more creaking i turned back to look behind me. I saw something moving in the bush, i turned to run when I felt something touch my back but I blacked out.

I woke up the next morning with a killer headache lying on my bed next to Kelly, I moved a little and she woke up.

"Hey, you feeling better?" she said, I turned to her and nodded.

"Kelly? What happened last night? I can't remember much" she looked at me and laughed.

"You fell asleep in the forest and we had to come find you" she giggled "Luke carried you home last night, it was hilarious" I felt so embarrassed. I can't believe he had to carry me, was I that bad last night?

But just then I remembered the noises coming from the woods and hand on my back before I went blank.

I suddenly felt fear rush through my system.

What really happened last night?
