Chapter 4

26th November of 2006

"So, how did you become a vampire?"I asked him looking at his blue eyes that shone without the sun.

I could see a lot of memories kept in them. His eyes are different. I thought. Maybe it's just a vampire thing.

"I've lived in the streets for a short amount of time and sung while playing the guitar in the pavements so I could get enough money to buy a house. Then a guy named Stuart said I had talent and gave me 500£. He also said he hoped to see me again so I could get signed. Then he took me to a dark alley and bit me so that's how I became a vampire."He said.

Is he interested in music? It would be really cool if he did. "You can sing and play the guitar?"I asked excitement getting inside me. "Yeah."He said.

"Would you sing for me?"I asked him and he nodded."I'm gonna pick up the pieces, and build a lego house. If things go wrong we can knock it down..."I heard him sing.His voice was so soft and sweet. His voice was amazing, I've never heard a vampire sing so deep. Well, I've never seen a vampire before but whatever. He was done singing. "Your voice is amazing."I said and he smiled.

I was staring at his lips wondering what their taste was. "What's this song called? I've never heard it before."I said. "I wrote it. So, it's mine. It's named Lego House."He said.

Oh, how I wish that when he said 'mine' he meant I was his'. "I-"He said but then the school bell rung again.

I got up quickly but Ed didn't. "Aren't you gonna come?"I asked him. "I am."He said and got up. As we were walking to class I asked him something. "Can I tell Taylor?"I asked him. "No. I don't really know here well enough to trust her."He said. "Oh, and I remember I saw you at the train when I was coming here."I said. "When? Oh, wait. That was last year!"He said. "Yeah."I said. "Why didn't you go to school?"He asked me. "I lived on the streets."I said. "Oh."He said and we entered physics class.

Everyone sat where they were yesterday. So I was gonna sit with Ed! I sat down amd Ed next to me. Taylor was on the left of me. "Thankfully, the teacher wasn't here yet.

"So, you ok with the ginger now?"She asked me winking and whispering."You dirty mind!"I told her whispering too. "Hey, what's your number?"Ed asked me so I leaned back from Taylor. "I don't have a phone."I said. "Oh."He said again. "Pssssst. Hey Amber. Pssssst."I heard Taylor whisper. "I asked turning back to her in anger.

"So, ginger huh? I didn't know you liked that kind."She said winking and not whispering so basically everyone could hear her. Everyone turned to me. "What?"I asked looking at Taylor confused. Why would she tell everyone I like him? "Come on. It's ok. Most of the girls in the school like him. He's pretty attractive. But I don't like him."Taylor said. "I don't like him."I said. Ed just stared in confusion. "Every girl in here likes him except from Taylor. Even I like him."The girl next to Taylor said so I guess she was Susan. "Why would I like him?"I asked everyone and then the girls started mumbling random things like; "He's cute."Or"Dude, he's perfect."They all did a big noise until the teacher entered.

"Who are all of you calling cute?"The teacher asked and they all pointed at Ed. "Ed. I see you're a ladies man."He said. "Yeah, and something even better."Ed said sarcastically. I could tell he meant that about him being a vampire. I don't think he likes it.

"Open your books on page 21..."The teacher said and we continued with class.

Physics class was gladly over. I walked out of class with Ed by my side and all of the girls in school were looking at me and Ed jealous. They were mostly looking at me angrily and smiling at Ed.

"All of the girls are staring at me. And in a bad way."I told him."It's ok. They are all smiling at me. It's kinda creepier."He said and I giggled. He noticed my giggle and giggled too.

"Wanna come at my house tonight?"He asked me. "Um, ok. I'll ask my... sister. If I don't come then it means that she said 'no' or that I was kidnapped."I said and he laughed. "Ok. Come at around 3pm. I don't want you to come in the middle of the night."He said. "Ok. What's your address? "I asked him and he gave me his address. "See ya."I said and walked away. "See ya later too."He said while I was two meters away.

I stopped over at Taylor while she was putting some books on her locker. I saw a girl approaching Ed and playing with her hair. She started to talk to him. She was a really attractive blonde.

"Why'd you do that at class?"I asked her. "Because... "She said thinking what to say next. "You don't have any reasons right?"I asked her and she nodded.

"I forgive you."I said and she hugged me. "You're the best friend I could ever have."She said. "Relax. Don't make me regret my decision. "I said and she pulled away quickly.
