Chapter 5

26th November 2006 (Tuesday)

I walked inside my house just to find Caitlin in the couch playing with her phone. "Hey."I said as I set my bag down and sat next to her. "Why'd you do that yesterday?"She asked me turning to me. "I'm sorry."I said.

"How was school?"She asked me. "Nice. Also, I have a question."I said. "What is it?"She asked me. "Can I go to a friends' house to study?"I asked her and her eyes widened in shock.  "Where?"She asked me. "To Eds' house."I said."A boy? He's just trying to rape you."She said. "No he's a nice guy."I said. "No."She said."What? Why?"I asked her. "Because you're only seventeen."She said. "And?"I asked. "You don't know him well enough. If you want to study with him, then study together here."She said."Fine, I'll ask him tomorrow."I said. "Good."She said.

I got up from the couch and walked to my room. I got my maths book, my physics book, my chemistry book, my english book and my history book to study. Ahh, school, hard work.

I was now on my first class, english, but this time I didn't see Ed on my way to school but he's here, next to me. 'Driiing' Rung the school bell.

I got up from my desk with Ed and once I started walking out of class someons grabbed my hand. I looked up and saw Ed. He smiled and I smiled too. What a moment. I was staring into his deep blue eyes. Everyone was staring at us.

We walked out of class to the woods holding hands. We passed the crowd of kids that stared at us. When we were finally at the woods we lied down once again. "Sorry I didn't come yesterday. My sister didn't let me."I said. "It's fine, at least you weren't kidnapped."He said and I giggled. "My sister thought you were gonna rape me."I said and we both burst out laughing. "Rape you? I may be a vampire but I ain't like that."He said as we stared into each others eyes. "I know."I said as we continued staring into each others eyes not talking.

He leaned in, once he was one inch away from me the school bell rung again. He was going to kiss me. Dammit school bell! I really like Ed even if he's a vampire. He can bite me but then I won't be growing up anymore and he would be a vampire thet grew up. If I stay human, we could be together.

"Will you come?"He asked giving me his hand. I took it and got up. Once again, we were walking down the hallway holding hands. Every one girl seemed so mad about it. Weird. Is he really that attractive?

We were now in the woods at the second break. Again, lying down in the grass looking at each others eyes. "Wanna come study at my house tonight?"I asked him and he nodded. "Great. I live in 23 Creison Street."I said and he smiled. "I'll be there."He said and I smiled.

The atmosphere was so calm and the only thing we did was just stare into each others eyes and smile. He was perfect.

"Are you living alone?"I asked him. "No, with my parents."He said. "Are they vampires too?"I asked him. "No, except my brother Matthew. He's a vampire like me, but doesn't grow up. Right now he's 18 and he's going to this school."He said. "How come I never saw him?"I asked him. "I don't know, he too, hangs out in the woods here alone. I don't know where though."He said.

"Can I talk to him?"I asked Ed a smile appearing in my face. "I haven't told him about you yet."He said my smile fading out. "But,"He said and my smile appeared again. "We can go, you can hide in a tree, I can tell him about you and then call you out."He said. "Yes!"I said cheerfully.

"Aren't you scared to meet a vampire that actually drinks human blood?"He asked me. "Don't you?"I asked him. "No, I drink animal blood. Not kitties though 'cause they're adorable."He said and I laughed. "Lovely."I said and he smiled kissing my nose and I laughed.

He may be a vampire but he's being so sweet and kind.
