The art shown above is mine. It's of Chapter 4 of this story. I call them the 'we dress up fancy to go to mcdonalds' squad.
During the start of Fuyu's first year of attending Hope's Peak, he was dating Peko Pekoyama, the Ultimate Swordswoman. As they were both in the same clan, as well as being childhood friends, they found it fitting to start seeing each other.
There were some disagreements on the topic of their relationship, mostly coming from the yakuza clan and Fuyuhiko's father but they reluctantly complied with their love, the disapproval soon turned to joy for Fuyu and Peko's future. Fuyu's father even getting the young lovebirds a house, so they wouldn't have to get a dorm separate from one another.
It wasn't until the first summer of school that things went downhill. Fuyu kept ignoring Peko and any of her needs. Fuyu was seen to only be interested in his clan rather than his own girlfriend, even him going to the point of going full days without speaking a single word to her.
It wasn't until they broke out into screaming matches and daily arguments that someone had to butt in to help them. They weren't able to come to any agreements when near one another so, they broke up and went their separate ways in Hope's Peak.
Fuyuhiko cried at the beginning of his second year, Kazuichi comforting him throughout these weeks. He was so desperate for anything, he was vulnerable. He even tried asking out Kazuichi while still experiencing all these emotions but Kaz knew better than to start anything with him. Plus Kaz would rather keep Fuyu as a friend than date him.
Weeks after the breakup, he almost completely forgot about Peko. Emphasis on almost.
Sure he'd cry late at night wanting to hear from her, send a couple of texts saying he misses her or he wants her back, but that doesn't mean he wants her back, right? The trio spent many sleepless nights with Fuyuhiko, eating ice cream and watching his favorite genre, old cartoons.
It was probably January when they met. Fuyuhiko woke up late for his classes and was heading out of the dorms. But due to his rush, he somehow forgot to wear his coat. Annoying as this day was one of the coldest Hope's Peak has ever experienced.
From the dorms to the school was quite a walk, since the school and the dorms themselves were separate buildings, so Fuyu would have to endure an agonizing ten-minute walk towards the building, in the freezing cold weather.
Luckily for him, another student was running late. Using up too much time to style his hair, first-year student Mondo Oowada was taking his sweet time getting to class, despite the fact his best friend told him to arrive early so they could hang out before homeroom. Mondo already knew he was going to be yelled at by him anyway for the amount of grease in his hair so he might as well be late too.
But he stopped behind Fuyuhiko. Mondo hardly saw him since all he could see was Fuyu's head, but noticed him as he was having trouble walking. Every time he stopped, the small yakuza let out a small shiver. Mondo felt bad for him, he seemed like a lost puppy left out in heavy snow, it pulled at Mondo's heartstrings, a thing Mondo thought he lacked for a long time.
Without thinking, as usual, Mondo started walking once again but now he was starting to unzip and take off his coat. It was still another five minutes till they reached Hope's Peak so he wanted to help speed up the walk. He placed his giant coat over Fuyuhiko's back, which scared Fuyuhiko shitless and made him turn back in vigorous motion.
"Who the fuck?!" the young yakuza met face to face with the uniform shirt of Hope's Peak Academy. Looking up, he met eyes with the pompadour biker standing before him. If anyone else were in Fuyu's position, they'd run away in fear, but Fuyu dealt with worse every day.
