New School

One Week Later Albuquerque, New Mexico

Troy gets off the bus seeing his teammates "Troy! how is ya doing man?" Chad Troy's best friend said to him "hey, Chad, what's up? hey, guys, happy new year" Troy said to his team "yeah. It's a happy Wildcat new year!" chad told his best friend "you're the man!" a teammate called out "In two weeks we're going to the championships with you leading us to infinity and beyond." chad said to troy "what time?" a kid called out "wildcats" the team called back "what time?" the same kid called out again "wildcats" the team called back again as the team walk inside the school they see Sharpay and Ryan Evans strut through the crowded school hallways "Ooh!" the team said as Sharpay walks past the wildcats team "the ice princess returned from the North Pole" Zeke on and Chad and Troy's friend and teammate said to them "you know, she probably spent the holidays the way she always does" Chad said to his team and friends "how's that" Troy asked "shopping for mirrors" Chad told his friends "Ooh!" they all said as they keep walking "Ugh behold the zoo animals heralding the next year. how tribal" Taylor said to some other students before the bell rang,

"Mom, My stomach...," Gabriella told her mom as we walked threw the school as Me and her were starting a new school "mine too," I told her nervously "is always nervous on first day at a new school. you'll both do great you both always do, and I made my company promise that I can't be transferred again until you both graduate." Miss Montez told the girls "I reviewed both your impressive transcripts. Homeroom

Me and Gabriella walk into our homeroom "Miss Darbus?" we asked handing her our schedules "Gabby come on I see two sits in the back come on " I told her grabbing her hand "So, do you remember the night before?" In the hallway

as the bell ring everyone leaves the class Troy waits outside of the class "sorry, man see you in detention." Chad tells Troy "oh, see you later. It's all good." Troy told him "uhh, she's crazy," Jason tells Troy as me and Gabriella walk out of the class "Hey!" Troy says "I don't..." I said, "believe it." Troy said, "well me..." I said "Either. But how?" Troy asked me " well Gabriella's mom's company transferred her here to Albuquerque I can't believe you live here I looked for you at the lodge on New Years Day." I told Troy "I know, but we had to leave first thing," Troy said whispering "why are you whispering?" I asked him "what? Oh, uh... well my friends know about the snowboarding. Um, I haven't quite told them about the singing thing" Troy told me "Hey, what's up?" a kid said to troy "hey" Troy said back "Too much for them to handle?" I asked troy "hey Ri I'm going to head to our next class I'll see you there ok," Gabby told me walking away from me and Troy "so, uh... anyway, welcome to East High. Oh, now that you've met Miss Darbus, I bet you just can't wait to sign up for that" Troy said showing me the winter musical sign-up bulletin "I won't be signing up for anything for a while. I just wanna get to know the school. But if you sign up, I'd consider coming to the show" I told him "yeah, yeah. That's completely impossible" he told me then from out of nowhere the blonde girl from homeroom whose name I learned was Sharpay came from behind bulletin board "what's impossible, Troy? Sharpay said to him "Oh, so nice of you to show one of our new classmates around" she said looking at us both then she turns around with a pink pen and signs her name in big letters on the sign-up sheet "Oh, were you gonna sign up too? My brother and I have starred in all the school's productions and we really welcome newcomers. there are a lot of supporting roles in the show. I'm sure we could find something for you." Sharpay told me "No, no, no. I was just looking at all the bulletin boards. lots going on at this school, wow." I told her "nice penmanship," I walked away "so Troy I missed you during vacation. what'd you do?" Sharpay asked Troy "you know, um... played basketball, snowboarding, more basketball." he told her "when's the big game," she asked Troy "uh, two weeks" Troy answered her question "you are so dedicated. just like me. I hope you come watch me in the musical. Promise?" Sharpay asked Troy he nods in agreement. as troy turns to walk away "toodles" Sharpay said "toodles" troy said back in a whisper and leaves as Sharpay's smile turns to a glare as she looks in the direction that Riley took as she walks off
