Me and Gabby were in the Cafeteria we cross paths with Troy I rolled my eyes and Me and Gabby sat at a different table ignoring Taylor call for us "hey Gabby can we go to the classroom" I asked her "Sure" she said we got our stuff and left 

Rooftop 

Troy was on the Roof eating his lunch sad "hey, um... we just had another team meeting" Chad said to Troy walking up to him with Zeke and Jason "oh... wonderful" Troy said to the guys "we had a team meeting about how we haven't been acting like a team I mean us, not you look about the singing thing..."Chad explained "look, dude, I don't even wanna talk about it," Troy said interpreting Chad " we just you to know that we're gonna be there ok, cheering for you" Chad explained "huh?" Troy questioned his teammates ", yeah if singing is something you wanna do, we should be boosting you up not tearing you down" Zeke told Troy "yeah win or lose we're teammates that's what we're about even if you turn out to be the worst singer in the world" Chad said "which we don't know because we haven't actually heard you sing" Jason said "and you're not gonna hear me sing, guys because Riley won't even talk to me... and I don't know why" Troy said "we do" Chad said as Zeke takes two sugar cookies out of his lunch box handing them to Troy "I baked these fresh today. you'll probably want to try one before we tell you the rest" Zeke says 

Science Classroom

Me and Gabby were working on an equation for the decathlon "Riley, we were jerks no, we were worse than jerks because we were mean jerks we thought Troy and the whole singing thing was killing our chances of having you on the scholastic decathlon team" Taylor told me "I heard what he had to say I'm on your team now and so is Gabriella. done" I told them "No, not done we knew that Chad could get Troy to say things to make you want to forget about the callbacks we planned it, and we're embarrassed and sorry," Taylor said to me apologizing  "no one forced Troy to say anything and you know what? it's ok we should be preparing for the decathlon so it's time to move on" I told them being stubborn "no it's not ok the decathlon is whatever, but how you feel about us, and even more, Troy- that's what really matters" Taylor said getting a little annoyed with me I turned around to continue working on the chalkboard with my eyes watering up "we tried" I heard Taylor said I let out a small sob when it was only me and Gabby in the room Gabby I saw I was crying and came over to him

That Evening 

I was doing my homework In my room when I heard a knock on the door "Hi Miss Montez, I'm Troy Bolton" Troy said to Miss Montez who opened the door "Oh, Troy" Gabby's mom said when I heard Troy's name I went down the stairs I mouthed No to her "um... Riley is kinda busy with homework and such, now's not really a good time" she explained to him "I made a mistake, Miss Montez and I would really like to Riley know that could you tell her that I came by to see her?" Troy asked "I will... Troy. Good night" she said to him "good night thank you," he said walking away then he gets an idea and heads threw the backyard gate then In my room my phone stared ringing "hello?" I said into the phone "what you heard, none of that is true I was sick of my friends riding me about singing with you so I said things I knew would shut them up I didn't mean any of it"Troy told me "you sounded pretty convincing to me" I told him "listen, the guy you met on vacation is way more me than the guy who said those stupid things" he told me "Troy, the whole singing thing is making the school whack. you said so yourself everyone's treating you differently because of it" I said to him "maybe because I don't wanna only be the basketball guy. They can't handle it that's not my problem, it's theirs" He told me "what about your dad?" I asked him "and it's not about my dad this is about how I feel and I'm not letting the team down. they let me down. so I'm gonna sing what about you?" he asked me "I don't know Troy" I told him "well you need to say yes. because I brought you something" he told me "what do you mean?" I asked "turn around," he told me I turned around to see him on my balcony I open the doors

Troy sang he held up my copy of Breaking Free "it's a pairs audition" he told me I walked over to him taking my copy "you have a lot to make up for wildcat" I told him "I plan on it and I have a question for you" he told me "and what would that be?" I asked "will you be my girlfriend," he asked me "yes wildcat I'll be your girlfriend," I told him I kissed his cheek night wildcat "night," he said I turned around and went inside 

I went into Gabby's room "Gabby you will not believe what just happened to me," I told her "what happened?" she asked, "Troy asked me out," I said squealing "oh my God," Gabby said getting off her bed me and her started hugging and squealing "I'm so happy for you Ri," she said to me "thank you I'm going to head to bed night Gabby," I told her "night," she told me I went to my room and went to slept
