warning: mentions of suicide

the room went silent. woojin looked at his soulmates before looking at the ground. he muttered something under his breath. "seungminnie, you know how i'm never out of my room when it's stormy?" his brother nodded in understanding, the rest of the group listening in on the conversation eagerly. "what about it hyung?" calming his breath, he quietly said "i think there might of been a storm when..." the boy hesitated for a second "when my past self died."

seungmin could see how that was possible. ever since he was a child, his elder brother had always had a phobia of storms. it was worse when they were little, but even now, they still happened to a fairly large extent. their parents had tried everything to get rid of it, but nothing had worked. everything from the past was tying itself together in double knots

chan nudged jeongin lightly, and whispered something in his ear. with that, the dolphin smiled softly. he got up, walked around to the other side of the eldest, and sat down next to him. chan began to mouth a countdown. when it reached zero, the pair wrapped their arms around him in sync, making a merman sandwich. woojin, who clearly didn't expect this, was pleasantly surprised by this sudden burst of affection and snuggled the kangaroo and fox back, a smile gracing his lips.

minho looked both happy and smug about this. "seungmin that's how you confident gay. by not flipping every time someone's affectionate towards you." he turned to the younger, who he noticed was staring intensely at his dramatic soulmate, who was completely oblivious to it, as he was too busy staring at the fluffy trio in front of him. the cat father sighed, face palming and dragging it down his face. "yah, hyunjin! pay attention to your soulmate, he's staring at you with heart eyes!" his own eyes widening, the drama llama turned to his now flustered soulmate. "aw, it's ok to stare minnie!"

pouting a little at hyunjin, the puppy swiftly wrapped his arms around the other boy's waist, and rested his head on the model's shoulder. the pillow chuckled "someone's clingy, huh?" he ran his fingers through the younger's silver locks, playing with it.
seungmin made direct eye contact with minho, before smirking. that's when he realised. seungmin was trying to outdo him.

not wanting to lose, he pulled jisung (who was incredibly confused) onto his lap, and placed his chin on the squirrel's shoulder. changbin caught what was going on here. "guys, please stop trying to out-gay each other. minho , you're a hoe, so you can't even act straight. and seungmin, as cute as your being at the moment, you don't need to force it."

"i was about to ask chan hyung and innie if they had any nightmares or phobias that could be related." the younger pouted, burying his face further into hyunjin's shoulder. "yeah, i do actually." chan admitted, before elaborating "i have nightmares constantly, and they always end the same. i'm with some guy one minute, having a good time, and the next i'm crying on the floor over his body." taking a deep breath, he continued "i think someone shot him. because this dream persona of mine ran over, snatched the gun off of someone dressed in black, and shot myself."

the group looked horrified by this. "you think it's a memory?" hyunjin asked, already knowing the answer. making eye contact, chan nodded. "pretty sure. i think it was raining too, so that might add to woojin hyung's story." seungmin burst out randomly " chan hyung, was there a symbol of any sort on this man in black?!"

the australian thought for a second. "actually, there was. can someone grab me a pen and paper, i remember what it looked like." changbin got out of his seat and fetched the resources. chan took them and sketched a symbol:

the kim brothers looked at each other, fear residing in their eyes

the kim brothers looked at each other, fear residing in their eyes. "chan, has that symbol always been there?" woojin asked, his voice shaking. the kangroo looked confused for a second, before answering "no...? it only appeared around the time we all met."

this only made the situation worse. "how did they find us?" seungmin's breathing was becoming more irregular. "minnie, you need to breathe. who are 'they', and how the hell do you know that symbol?!"

he looked up at the worried boy, and stated "they're the company that wanted a partnership with our parents. they're the mafia, and they've been trying to find us for all of our life."

"what do they want with you guys?!" minho clutched jisung tightly, tense about the situation.

"they want us dead, and it looks like they're one step closer to being successful."

duh, duh, duuuhhhhhh!
bet you didn't see that coming, hm? the symbol has no real meaning, that i know of, it's just a random symbol i sketched up. the idea behind the reincarnation thing is inspired by UWMA (and the novels it's based off). sorry for not uploading this yesterday, i wasn't feeling all too great.
see you in the next chapter!
