Niall's POV

As soon as she ran out of the restaurant it hit me. It was Emily. How could I possibly forget my best friend? I had been so sleepy from the long flight. I hadn't slept on the plane, but I couldn't believe, even though I was exhausted, I still didn't recognize her. I hadn't seen her in seven years, and I just blew what could be my last chance. When she left in fifth grade, I had the biggest crush on her and it never went away. It wasn't that it was gone now, but it was that she looked so different! You can't blame a guy, I mean seven years will definitely change your appearance. When she was about to leave I looked into her eyes as she walked away. That's what made me realize it was her. I hated the fact that when I saw her beautiful green eyes, they were full of tears and it was all my fault. That was about the only thing that looked that same, big green eyes, and strawberry blonde hair.

I remembered the promise I made to her before she moved away. I still plan on keeping it. Now I don't know if I'll ever get the chance.

I decided to go to the tour bus where the boys were waiting for me.

"Hey are you okay?" Liam asked seeming concerned. He was 'Daddy Direction' and really did worry about all of us. It wasn't just for the cameras, he really cared about all of us and kept us in line.

"Not really," I answered. It had to be pretty obvious, so I wasn't going to lie.

"What's wrong?" Louis questioned. Typically he would be joking about something, be he could tell something was up.

"You guys know how I told you about my best friend when I was little, Emily?" I started.

"Yeah," Harry said sounding confused.

"That's who I saw in Nando's and I didn't even realize it was her until she left in tears," I said ashamed.

"What did you say to her!" Zayn exclaimed, most likely assuming the worst.

"She could tell I didn't recognize her and then I told her I was sorry, I didn't remember every one of the fans I've seen, if that's was what she meant. She was upset because we were best friends, I thought she was just another fan," I said with tears now forming.

"So what are you going to do?" Liam asked.

"I have no clue," I said.

My POV

"Lauren, how could he forget?" I asked still sobbing. I was crying half out of anger and half out of sadness. I was so mad at myself and how naive I had been.

"I don't know, if he doesn't remember you, he defiantly doesn't deserve you," she said trying to comfort me.

"I mean, I know it's been a long time, but a fan?" I whimpered.

"Sorry," she said not knowing what else to say.

"I can't believe I thought I was in love with him and he forgets me," I cried. He did look tired, but that shouldn't make him forget everything. But, I was still the stupid one who thought I would still mean something to him.

"Maybe he's not the guy I fell in love with anymore," I said. At this point Lauren didn't know what to say. We were both in shock at what had happened.

"Do you want to spend the night at my apartment? I'm going to need someone to talk to tonight," I wondered.

"Of course, anything to make you feel better," she answered.

We pulled into the parking garage and headed to my apartment. I opened the door and went strait to my room - followed by Lar. I tried to hold back what tears I could until I got inside. I took my shoes off and jumped onto my bed instantly bursting into tears. I didn't care that my make-up was a mess and everywhere. I was lucky to have Lar to cry to and comfort me. Lauren was sad for me, so we cried together for about 20 minutes and I had the worst head ache ever.

"Don't do this to yourself. Let's go watch a movie," Lauren suggested.

"Okay that sounds good," I said.

First I went to the bathroom to clean up my make-up. I was a mess. I looked like a raccoon because of the black rings of mascara under my eyes. Then I went to the living room and we decided to watch Grown Ups. It was one of my favorite movies, but nothing could make me laugh tonight. About half way through the movie my phone started to ring.
