"Chie, where are you? I can't find you," ani Gavin sa kabilang linya.
"Paulit-ulit? Nandito nga ako sa loob ng cafe. Oh wait, I see you. On your right."
Tumingin siya sa kanyang kanan at nang nakita ako ay pinutol na ang tawag. He went inside the café with a big smile.
"Boi you blind!" I teased. He shook his head and sat in front of me.
"Nag order ka na?"
"Nope. Ikaw na ang mag order. Alam mo naman anong gusto ko."
"Ako?"
Tinawanan ko siya. "Corny mo! Mag order ka na nga!"
Patawa siyang umalis sa upuan at tumungo sa counter upang mag order. Napapadalas ang pag punta namin sa Manila dahil may presentation kami sa aming research.Halos dalawang buwan na rin kaming pabalik-balik dito.
Pag balik niya ay may dala siyang isang tray ng pagkain namin. Umupo siya sa tapat. I smiled sweetly.
"Thank you!"
He reciprocated my smile and asked, "What are you doing tonight?"
"Tumawag si Irene. May pupuntahan silang event ni Barbie at isasama nila ako."
Tumango siya. We talked about our research presentation. Malapit na rin iyon dahil patapos na rin kami. The ring on his finger didn't escape my sight.
"OMG! What is this?" I grabbed his hand and looked closely at the diamond-shaped ring.
"You're engaged?!"
"Well, uh... yeah."
"At bakit ikaw ang may singsing?! The girl was the one who proposed?!"
Napakamot siya ng sa kanyang batok. I shook in disbelief. Grabe! Ito ang epekto ng isang Gavin Larrazabal. Ang babae na ang nag propose! Tinampal ko ang braso niya.
"Oh my goodness! I can't believe this! I have to meet your finace! I already like her! Damn. She's so brave."
He chuckled. "Wa'g na! Baka mainggit ka sa 'min!" biro niya. Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. Tinampal-tampal ko ang dibdib niya.
"Aray! Ano ba! Chie, stop!" he said, laughing while trying to hold my arms to make me stop. He held my arms. He just laughed when he saw me still irritated. Inirapan ko siya at nag lakad na palabas ng café. Sinundan niya ako na tumatawa pa rin.
I went to some designer stores and bought new things. Umiling lamang si Gavin habang nakasunod. After, we went back to our hotel.
"Wala ka bang gagawin tonight?" I asked.
"Wala. Unless, isasama mo ako sa event," ngumiting aso siya.
I shook my head before deciding. "Fine! Sama ka na."
