"Happy birthday!" he greeted me and gave me the sunflower bouquet he's carrying. I smiled sweetly at him. Magpapasalamat sana ako kaso biglang nag count down ang mga tao.

Sa huli ay pumuntok ang mga fireworks. I smiled at Jared while starring at the fireworks above us.
"Thank you, Jared!" sabi ko ng matapos ang firework display. Sinuklian niya ako ng matamis na ngiti.
"I have a gift for you."
"Hindi mo naman kailangan mag bigay ng regalo."
"Gusto kong mag bigay ng regalo. If it's okay with you. Cause if not then it's fine," paliwanag niya.
I immediately shook my head. "No, I would gladly accept it. What is it?"
Tumango siya at ngumiti. "Actually nasa loob ng bouquet."
Tinignan ko ang bouquet at may nakita akong square shaped box. Balot pa ito ng gift wrapper. I took it out and Jared took the bouquet from me so that I can open his gift. I already have a hunch on what it is pero ayokong mag assume. I think it's too much!
Nanlaki ang aking mga mata nang natanto na tama ang aking hinala. I can't help but hug him.
"Thank you, Jared! Thank you talaga!"
He chuckled. I still can't believe he got me the latest album of Ben&Ben! Kumalas ako sa pagkakayakap. My face went red. Hindi ko na napigilan ang sarili at yumakap na talaga! Nakakahiya ka, Chie!
"Sorry, I overreacted."
"It's okay. I actually dreamed about this moment to happen. Damn. Akala ko hindi magkakatotoo."
"You dreamed about this?"
Tumango siya. He gave me the bouquet back then started saying things that made my heart pound like crazy.
"Matagal na kitang gusto, Chie. Ngayon lang ako nagkaroon ng lakas na sabihin at ipakita iyon sayo. Kasi pakiramdam ko, hindi tayo bagay. You're such an intellegent person. You have a beautiful soul. Samantalang ako, palaboy-laboy lang. Palaro-laro lang ng basketball. I don't deserve you. But I still want to try. I want to become the best version of myself for you."
"Jared, hindi mo naman kailangan maging ganyan. In my eyes, you are enough..."
Umiling siya. "Gusto kong maging ganito, for me to deserve you."
I hugged him tight again. Kahit anong mangyari, hindi magbabago ang tingin ko sa kanya. He will always be a great guy for me. He will always be enough for me.
I stiffened when I felt his hand on the back of my waist. We stayed in that position for a while. Walang nagsasalita sa amin. Maingay ang aming paligid pero tila ako nabingi. It felt nice when you're in someone's arms, never minding the world around you. Parang huminto ang oras. Parang himinto ang mundo.
