She blushed as she broke from the kiss, staring at me in shock that she had just done that. We were both mute until I broke the silence.

"Um.." I said. "Wow.. I..I.. don't get it.." I scratched the back of my head, feeling awkward. "I.. Why?" She bit her lip, trembling with anxiousness at what sort of conversation could come out of that.

"I'll go," she said. "I'll be right around the corner.." She smiled shyly, her cheeks as red as a tomato. She didn't answer my question, but her blushing told me as much as I needed to know for the time being. I wasn't the only one attracted to someone.... There was something she felt as well.

"Okay.." I said. "Be careful.." As she walked outside, she turned back to look at me. I really didn't want her to go, but I knew better than to argue... even after that kiss. I could feel her love in it.

"I'll be fine, Seán." The woman said, but the look of worry across my face made her smile fade slightly. "Don't worry about me."

-

A few minutes had past, and the hunter hadn't returned. I started to worry, pacing back and forth. I ran outside, making sure there was nothing nearby that could prohibit me from finding her, but once I saw it was clear, I ran in the direction she left in. If she wasn't able to make it back to me alone, I wasn't going to let her leave me...not after everything we had been through.... not after that kiss.

"Hunter!" I yelled. "Where are you? You never came back.." An arm wrapped around my neck. "Is.. is that you?" As I slowly looking at the weapon that brushed my skin, I found my answer. My breathing quickened as I awaited death. "Hi.." I gulped.

"Who are you, and what do you think you're doing here?" It was a woman, but not her.

"I... I was worried about.. someone.." I cringed, unaware of who this person was behind me. I knew better than to tell this hunter who I was with. All I knew was it was a female... and not the hunter I was looking for. "Who are you?" She turned me around, pinning me against a wall. "Please... I... I don't want any trouble."

"Christine," she said. "I haven't seen anyone else. What's the person you're worrying so much about look like?"

"She's tall.... brown hair in a braid... she has two swords..." I explained, and Christine started to think.  "If you know where she went... Please help me find her.."

"I don't know. I did hear someone not too long ago. Footsteps went off in... that direction.." She pointed toward a tower. "There were gunshots, too... but I can't say whether or not they hit anything.." I sighed. "You never told me your name."

"Well, she never told me her name..." I said.

    "Your name?" She said again.

    "I'm Seán..." I said.

"Okay, here's how this'll work.." Christine said, sternly. "I've been here for over three years.." My eyes widened. "Yeah... Three years. I know how to get around. I can help you find your girl, but after you do... this.." She gestured to the two of us. "No more. I can't be found with newbies... That'll make you out to be a huge target."

"Thank you.." I said, and we took off running.

-

We climbed up a ladder, looking around for the girl, but with the fog, visibility was severely limited.

"I'll get the gunman," Christine said, passing me on the ladder. "Stay here and look out for movement." I nodded. She got to the top and started fighting the shooter. "Seán, it's clear." I climbed up.
