Freddy looked into the bathroom mirror for the second time that day, but instead of a big '3' staring him in the face, reminding him that he wasn't as handsome as most, a smudged fancy E connecting to his bold number, making it an '8'.
"Well, what do you think?"
The dark haired boy turned back to face Billy, looking into his hazel eyes.
Billy had done so much for him. He even managed to convince Superman to have lunch with them (of course, it all happened because Freddy lied, but he chose to ignore that little detail). There was no possible way to thank him.
Well, except that he had managed to help Billy figure out his powers, save him from getting his ass kicked by both villains and bullies, and helped him even when they fought. Freddy did it all for his best friend.
"Awesome. Thanks."
Because that's what best friends do.
Right?
