•Chapter 21•

"Don't get me wrong Mr. Jeon but I don't really get what I should do about it," Taehyung says as polite as he can.

Jungkook, on the other hand, rolls his eyes. "Yes, what the f*ck do you want him to do?!" Jungkook asks a little mad. He doesn't want his dad to decide everything in his life.

"Jungkook please leave us alone," Mr. Jeon says but Jungkook shakes his head. "No way," he says while putting himself down on Taehyung's chair. "Fine but you keep your mouth shut. You understand?!" his dad says in a stern tone.

Jungkook chuckles. "Of course I understand but that doesn't mean I will" his son answers. Mr. Jeon ignores it and just starts talking to Taehyung again.

"Jungkook has a big role in this company. He'll take over my place soon enough and I want him to do that with a sweet and loving partner at his side. I want him to be with someone good though so I want you to find a perfect person for him"

Jungkook honestly couldn't believe his dad was saying this. He can't even choose himself with who he wants to be. This is literally stupid.

"You can't do this" Jungkook says but his dad ignores him again. Taehyung looks at the youngest before looking at the father again.

"I don't know if I can do that" He answers eventually.

He didn't know what that meant. He said the words and they honestly meant so much. He couldn't do it because he didn't want to. He couldn't do it because love is something you need to find yourself. He couldn't do it because who would be the perfect person?

And for some reason, he couldn't do it because he didn't want Jungkook to have a lover. At least not yet. He didn't know why and he wasn't going to think about that now because that wasn't important at this moment.

"I'm pretty sure you can and you will do a great job," Mr. Jeon said and after that, he looked at his watch. "I don't have a lot of time though I need to leave already" he continues.

Taehyung wanted to speak up but Mr. Jeon was already walking to the door. "I believe in you Taehyung. Also, I will feel how thankful I am, believe me" after that he left.

Taehyung was in shock and didn't say anything. Jungkook was the first one to speak up. "Where do I get a new dad? Mine's broken" Jungkook said it so seriously that Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle.

"Honestly I can't do anything else than agree with you" he answered. "I'll try to find something good though" he continued and Jungkook just shrugged it off.

They both kept their mouth closed and there thought into their head and started working. They worked like they always do. They have fun but they do everything they have to.

When the workday ends they did everything. Taehyung is proud of it. They don't leave the company as last ones today but Taehyung was okay with it. They worked well today and Taehyung always has work left but he decided to do it another time.

Mr. Jeon doesn't mind at all because Taehyung can't do anything wrong in his eyes. Taehyung could just use that. If he doesn't the work someone else would do it for him because he was working with the indomitable son of the boss.

Taehyung didn't like using this but he actually became tired of doing all the work and he liked to just hang out with Jungkook sometimes. Maybe Jungkook was changing him a little but that wasn't a bad thing, right?

Hanging out with Jungkook was also work. He needed to find a lover for Jungkook so when he hung out with the young kid he could get to know Jungkook so he could find the perfect partner.

Once they reached the exit of the company Jungkook started talking. "Tae" he started what made Taehyung look up. Taehyung honestly loved how Jungkook would call him that. Taehyung never really got a lot of nicknames.

Jungkook continues once he sees that he got Taehyung's attention. "Could I spend the night at your house again tonight? I don't want to go home now. I don't want to see my dad I'm actually kind of mad at him now" Jungkook explains himself and for the first time, Taehyung sees that Jungkook can be vulnerable.

"Yeah of course Kookie. It really is no problem. You're always welcome" he answers and the younger smiles thankful.

"I didn't know you could cook so well," Jungkook said to the older one while he took another brought his fork to his mouth again. They were both sitting at Taehyung's table that was actually way too big.

Taehyung lived alone. His whole house was just too big.

"I'm a man alone. I can't eat fast food every day, that's unhealthy" the older and wiser one answers.

"Everything about your house is so big" Jungkook commented next.

"Yes, I'm not planning on staying alone all my life so I'll need it when I ever find the love of my life" Taehyung explains. Jungkook just nods while he swallows the food in his mouth.

The younger smirks slightly. "Is everything about you also that big?" Jungkook asks. Taehyung looks up to look at the younger. He gives him a confused look at first but once Jungkook slides his eyes down the oldest of the two finally gets what he means.

Jungkook starts laughing when Taehyung runs red. Red cheeks and the tips of his ears are as well red-colored.

Jungkook honestly loves it to see Taehyung like this. "Kinda, Yes" Taehyung answers after he finally got his confidence back.

Jungkook who was already chewing his food again didn't expect an answer. He heard the answer and immediately choked on the food he had in his mouth.

Now it was Taehyung's turn to laugh with the younger.

"I mean it though"

The two of them had full all evening. They really became kind of close ever since Mr. Jeon punished Jungkook.

They laughed a lot and they had nice conversations.

"What do you even want your lover to be"

"I want my lover to be my best friend. That's all I need" Jungkook answers.

Jungkook was tired. He's been very busy the last few days. Working for school and after school he had to work with Taehyung. It was tiring him.

He was lying next to Taehyung on the older's bed.

Taehyung told Jungkook to sleep in the other room and Jungkook was fine with if after making another dirty joke. But they kept talking and they still are so Jungkook laid himself next to Taehyung.

He had his eyes closed not even realizing that Taehyung was looking at him. "What kind of people do you want as your best friend?" Taehyung asks after a long silence.

They were both actually falling asleep not even realizing it.

"Someone like..." Jungkook started while sighing deeply.

Taehyung closes his eyes too.

"Someone like you" Jungkook continues.

"Someone like you Tae" Jungkook repeats but very slowly before falling asleep completely.

Also, Taehyung was really falling asleep by now.

"Someone like me.." he whispered before falling asleep too.
