Ally

Once Alana had left, Austin and I sat down in the practice room to work on a song, but we were both blocked.

I slammed my hands down on the piano.

"I have nothing. Absolutely nothing. This has never happened to me before!" I screamed.

"It's fine, Ally. We'll think of something tomorrow during our writing time. For now we can take a break," Austin soothed.

"Yeah, I guess." I stood up and moved to sit on a bean bag chair. Austin jumped up and plopped on the bean bag next to me.

"By any chance did you get Alana's number?" Austin asked.

"Yeah, here," I replied sending him the contact. I felt a pang of jealously when he started to text her.

'No, Ally, don't think like that. He's your best friend and partner. Nothing else.' I thought to myself.

XXX

It's been a few days and every time Alana is working, Austin is helping out, and when she's not there he's texting her. We haven't even attempted to write songs since the day we met Alana.

Sitting at the piano in the store, I started to play random chords until it turned into a song. Of course it wasn't an original, but it was my feelings.

Yeah, I'll tell you something

I think you'll understand

When I'll say that something

I want to hold your hand

I want to hold your hand

I want to hold your hand

Watching Austin and Alana flirt with each other was making me sick inside. Why couldn't they keep their flirtiness in the texts they've been sending to each other every other minute.

Oh please, say to me

You can be my man

And please, say to me

You'll let me hold your hand

Now let me hold your hand

I want to hold your hand

Alana kept glancing over at me obviously listening. She can listen as long as she wants— I don't care.

And when I touch you, I feel happy

Inside

It's such a feeling that my love

I can't hide

I can't hide

I can't hide

Never had I known as much as I do now that I have a crush on my best friend Austin Moon, and Alana is taking him away bit by bit.

Yeah, you've got that something

I think you'll understand

When I say that something

I want to hold your hand

I want to hold your hand

I want to hold your hand

Alana stormed over and screeched, "Ally you're drawing a crowd. Could you do this anywhere but here. I'm trying to get some work done."

She then proceeded to push me up the stairs, so she could flirt with Austin without my background music.

I quickly texted Trish to come over as soon as possible and proceeded to sob into a bean bag chair.
