Ally

I was helping my dad pack up a few extra things before he left.

"Are you Alana going to be okay for the weekend?" he asked for the hundredth time.

"Yes, dad," I faked a laugh. I really did want to tell him the truth, but I knew that it could end badly for my friendship with Austin if I tattled on his new girlfriend.

"Okay, Alls. I'm trusting you sweetie, so try and train Alana a bit more for the next two days. Love you." he kissed my head and headed out of the house and into his car.

"Love you too, Dad!" I called.

Not long after he left, Alana's car pulled up with Austin inside.

"Ally!" he called out the window, "We're going to the store come on!"

"Okay!" I called back. I ran inside to grab my phone and my purse, and joined them in Alana's car.

Sadly, the first thing I noticed as we drove away was their linked hands in the front seat.

By the time we got to the mall, I felt sick to my stomach and had to get out of the car. I had a mischievous idea that I just had to do though.

We all got out of the car and I yelled, "Austin, race you to the store!" and bolted.

He then shouted, "Oh, it's on!" and chased after me.

I heard a barely audible sound of disgust from Alana as she walked at an extremely fast pace to keep up with me and Austin.

Austin and I reached the store at almost the same time but I was first.

"Ha! I win!" I shouted in victory and started to do a nerdy little victory dance.

"No you didn't!" Austin protested then proceeded to tickle me until I gave in.

"Fine, fine! You won! Now get off you goof!" I yelled while laughing hysterically.

He got off and we were both laying on the floor laughing our butts off. Then we finally noticed Alana standing in the doorway not looking very happy.

Austin jumped up. "Hey babe," he said and kissed her.

I literally had to stop myself from throwing up all over the floor.

Once they were done with their "moment," Alana started giving instructions.

"Ally, you polish all of the new instruments and put one on each shelf and the rest in the back. Austin, you go clean up the practice room." she commanded. "I'll sweep the floor and wipe off the counter."

Austin ran up to the practice room.

"Why do you get the easiest and shortest job?" I asked.

"Because I'm the boss," she replied as if it were obvious.

"Funny because my dad wanted me to train  you this weekend." I replied with a smirk.

"Shut up and get to work. If a customer comes in, help them."

We all quietly started our jobs. I took most of the smaller instruments into the practice room, so I could talk to Austin.

"So how are you and Alana?" I asked.

"I really like her Ally. She's so sweet, and she said that she really wants to be a part of my career. Who wouldn't like her?" he said with an awestruck look on his face.

"About that..." I started.

"Do you not like her?" he asked.

"Well, she thinks that she's my boss and she is always harassing me at work. And Austin, she is only dating you so she can be your new song writer. She just wants the credit and fame then she'll probably leave you for her own fame." I explained slowly.

He looked confused then started to speak, "I don't believe you. Ally, she wouldn't do that. Why don't you want us to date, Ally? Are you jealous or something? You don't even have to answer because I know your jealous. Ally, I think I love her. Why would you do this to me?"

I felt the tears starting to well up, and I couldn't say anything else except for, "Thanks for trusting me Austin."
