I get up and go to the kitchen to see Fred cooking. "What you cooking?" I say putting my laptop in my bag and sitting at the table.

"Eggs and bacon," he says giving me a plate. It smelt amazing.

I walk into the student lounge to find Betty sitting by herself. "Betty, can we talk?" I ask she looks at me then nods and walks over to me. "Why didn't you tell me that you were hanging out with Tristan?" I say grabbing her hands.

"I didn't want to get you involved," she says taking her hands out of mine.

"Involved in what?" I say looking at her odd.

"I was asking him questions for the newspaper," I turn away then back at her.

"Why couldn't you just tell me you were writing an article?" I say and she looks at the floor and shrugs.

"Hey, what you talking about?" Y/n says walking into the student lounge next to me.

"Nothing," Betty says getting her bag and walking out.

I walk into school and see a tall ginger-haired boy at his locker. "Y/n L/n," he says looking at me weird. "When did you get back?" he asks closing his locker.

"A few days ago," I say then see him look behind me so I turn round. "You need to be somewhere, don't you?" I say facing him again.

"Yeah, I need to go to training," he says I nod and he walks away.

As I walk into the student lounge I noticed that Betty looks annoyed at Jug. "Hey, what you talking about?" I ask standing next to Jughead.

"Nothing," Betty says grabbing her bag and walking out.

"What's her problem?" I say as Jug sits in the armchair and I sit on the couch.

"I don't know, I'm just giving up on her at this point," he says talking out his laptop.

"Why?" I say as a boy walks in and sits on the sofa and sighs.

"Well, she keeps lying to me." He says closing his laptop.

"Who are you talking about?" the boy says.

"Betty," Jug says looking at the boy than me. "Oh Kevin this is Y/n and Y/n this is Kevin," Jug says to us and the boy nods and me.

"So what's wrong with Betty?" Kevin says looking at Jug weirdly.

"She just keeps lying to me and says I don't need to know why," he says putting his head in his hands.

"Hey, you'll work it out," Kevin says making Jug take his head out his hands.

"Thanks, Kev," he says with a light smile.

"What's up losers?" Cheryl says sitting between me and Kevin.

"Hey Cheryl," I say taking my phone out of my pocket but it had died so I put in my bag.

"Juggy where's lover girl?" Says a girl with a Serpent jacket on and some pink hair.

"Oh Toni this is Y/n she's my best friend from when we were kids," he says I smile at her and she nods her head and smiles back.

"Nice to meet you," she says sitting on the corner of the chair next to Kevin.

"I see you're a Serpent," I say and see looks at me weird.

"Yeah what about it?!" she says leaning on the couch.

"Her mum's one." Jug says then all of my memories of my mum come flooding back to me.

I'm overwhelmed and get up, running out of the room and into the locker room. I push the door, and slide down the wall. I can't see because of the amount of tears in my eyes. "Y/n," I lifted my head up slightly to see Cheryl at the door she rushes over to me and sits next to me. "N/n, are you ok?" She says rubbing my shoulder.

"You're the only person I've told about the fact that my parents were killed," I say and she looks at me oddly.

"Why haven't you told anyone?" she says rubbing my back.

"Told anyone what?" Toni says from the door, she sits down slowly on the bench opposite.

"Its noth-"

"it's ok, she's a serpent I trust her,"

"What were you talking about?" she says coming to sit closer to me.

"My mum," I say sighing, it reminded me of her.

"Oh, what's her name, I might know her," she says and I nod.

"Y/m/n L/n," I say and then she looks at me weird.

"Wait I thought her whole family died," she says looking at me worryingly.

"No, just her and my dad," I say whipping my eyes.

"I'm so sorry," she says rubbing my back.

"It's ok, please don't tell anyone, especially not Jughead," I say and she nods.

"What lesson do you have?," I say standing up.

"Maths," she says opening the door.
