"Umm. Hello? It's Micah from the interview?" The wolf asked as he entered the book store. He entered at the right time that his interviewer had said. The boss was a lanky bat with really closed off clothing. He seemed like the type of furry to complain about how much better the book was after watching the movie. Nonetheless, Micah entered and saw someone else there. The person was a deer, small horns and wearing the uniform that Micah was wearing as well. He was sitting in the dim lighting with a headlamp ahead of a book he was reading. He had earbuds in and didn't hear Micah come in. Micah decided to approach the deer. If they were co-workers, he might as well get to know them decently. Micah tapped the deer on his shoulders and he immediately responded by leaping upwards as he turned around and fell out of his seat. Micah attempted to help him back up before the Deer quickly brushed himself off. Micah then continued to pick up the book that the Deer was reading. 'Subtle ways to make a story a lot better' read the book title. Certain pages were marked and the bookmark was pretty deep in. Close to the middle. "What do you want, wolf?" The deer grunted as he snatched the book away from
Micah's claws. Micah was caught off guard from being called 'Wolf'. "Oh, Mr. Cele told me to be here by 7 in the morning." Micah explained. The deer seemed caught off guard. He then looked around to see that no one else was there. He then sighed and faced Micah again. "So you're seriously the other worker that he hired?" The deer asked him. Micah excitedly nodded his hand and put out his paw to shake. "Yep. My names Micah by the way. What's yours?" Micah asked the deer. The deer looked at his paw as if something was wrong and put one of his hands in his pockets while the other kept hold of the writers book he was reading before. "Just call me Sam. Did Mr. Cele say when he'll get here?" Sam asked Micah. Micah shook his head and looked around. The building was obviously closed. The only lightning was through the windows and from the lamp that Sam was using. "Ah! You two actually came! I'm so sorry for the wait, I forgot that I said you two would come in today... are you two well acquainted with one another?" Mr. Cele asked. He was wearing a black turtle neck sweater with his glasses slightly lop-sided. He was shorter than both of the two mammals before him. "Yeah, do you really expect a deer and a wolf to work well together?" Sam asked harshly, disregarding Micah's existence. Mr. Cele coughed on himself and looked at Sam, confused. "Oh... I-I didn't know that would be much of a problem. You both seemed like great workers. I think you should reconsider your priorities if you wanna keep this job though. Michael here is a great kid, just get to know him a bit, ok?" The old bat asked Sam. He scoffed while looking at Micah, then quickly turning around once he saw him looking. "Okay." Sam sighed. Mr. Cele smiled as he walked over the door and flipped the 'closed' sign to show that it was open. He also reached under a few paintings and flipped a switch that turned on all the lights. "Why hide the light switch?" Micah asked curiously. Mr. Cele looked at him as if the answer was supposed to be obvious. "Well if the serial killer wanted to cut the lights, he'd have to look hard for them!" Mr. Cele laughed. Micah and Sam both were speechless for a few seconds. "Why not just cut the power to the whole building? Or as a better question, why would anyone want to murder you?" Sam asked curiously. Mr. Cele chuckled quietly. "Well, a bright one you are indeed. I'm glad I hired you guys instead of some the other guys. I swear, with this generation, you'd think you'd bully people for not reading enough instead of dressing or acting a certain way! I swear-" Mr. Cele ranted. Micah started to tune Mr. Cele out and looked to his new Coworker, Sam. Same saw him looking and started his way to the cashiers desk. That left Micah to act like he understood every word of what Mr. Cele was ranting about.OK IMMA GET BACK TO THE DESERT HUNTER EVENTUALLY, I JUST WANNA MAKE SOME SFW STUFF ON THIS ONE. HOPE YOU ENJOY AND REMEMBER TO READ! UWU
