"Honey I'm home!" I heard my boyfriend's voice as he entered the house. We had been living together for a year, but we'd known each other since we were five years old. I was still sitting in the living room, staring at the letter and doing some research on the university and the campus.

"Hey..." I said, sounding exhausted. Ethan noticed quickly, and sat next to me.

"What's wrong? What are you reading?" He asked, referring to the letter in my hands. I gave it to him slowly, and not really wanting to see his reaction, I buried my face against his shoulder, failing to hold back my tears. "Hey, don't cry, aren't you happy? This is your dream Kaylee."

"I know, but I'm going to miss you so much" I said in between sobs and Ethan rubbed my back.

"You know I'm going to visit you, we'll figure something out, alright? But please don't cry, you'll make me cry too." He said and I laughed a little bit, sniffling and wiping away my tears. "When are you... leaving?" He asked, struggling to say the last word.

"In 10 days..."

"We're going to have the best 10 days ever, okay? Starting tomorrow." He said sounding way more enthusiastic than before. I looked at him, confused.

"What are we doing?" I asked smiling a little bit. He got up from the couch quickly and grinned.

"It's a surprise, but I have to start planning the best 10 days of your life." He sprinted to our shared room and I shook my head, laughing lightly. Ethan has always been like that. He loved organizing, he loved planning things and making sure everything is perfect. On the other, I was kind of messy and carefree, but we complimented each other perfectly. I couldn't imagine what I would do without him.

I continued reading all sorts of information about the university, knowing that if I tried to get in the room, Ethan would say something like "It's a surprise, you can't get in yet" or "I'm in the middle of brainstorming, wait a second." After about an hour, he went out of the room, smiling like a proud little child.

"Are you ready?" I chuckled and he nodded, not saying a word. He guided me into the room, and laughed a little bit went I went in. One of my fancy dresses was placed on top of the bed. I could also see my favorite pair of heels next to the bed table and some really fancy earrings. "Do I have to wear this right now?" I asked and my boyfriend nodded.

After I finished getting ready for whatever Ethan had planned, I also did my makeup, supposing we would do something fancy. I walked out of the room, and was greeted by my boyfriend, wearing a really formal outfit.

"Good afternoon, I will be your date tonight." He said, as I tried to contain my laugh. Neither of us was serious at all, so I was pretty impressed by the way he was acting.

"Good afternoon..." I said and ended up laughing loudly. "Alright E, where are we going?"

"We are going to your favorite restaurant." He answered smirking, but I didn't understand.

"I guess I'll have to wait and see." I said as we walked towards our car. Getting on carefully not wanting to ruin my outfit. Halfway into the car ride, I figured out what Ethan meant by 'my favorite restaurant.' When we got there, we walked together and entered the building.

"We are going to have a special dinner, to celebrate the fact that you are going to England!" He exclaimed, and I grinned.

"Ethan, did you really make me wear a dress to Subway?" I chuckled and he nodded

"You look like a queen, now let's get in there and ruin your pretty makeup with a sandwich." I rolled my eyes at his joke. Inside the restaurant, everyone was staring at us for obvious reasons.

"Ugh this is so embarrassing!" I whisper-shouted, trying to avoid eye-contacts with the little kids asking their parents why we were dressing like this.

"Why? We're just on a really fancy date at your favorite restaurant." He replied and I laughed.

"I'm really going to miss your crazy ideas..." I said getting a little sad

"No need to be sad now, we're going to have a great time." He cheered me up.

The rest of the night continued normally, excluding the other clients staring at us. And when we got home, I found a piece of paper in my side of the bed.

Tomorrow's is going to be a really fun day, so get ready for many laughs.
-Ethan.

I laughed a little bit, wondering what he could be planning.
