~YN's POV ~
Me, Asta and Noelle were walking towards the magic knights HQ when suddenly I spotted the golden dawn team.
YN – Klaus, Mimosa, Yuno! Hi guys! How are you all?
Klaus – YN! Nice to see you!
YN – Nice to see you too sir.
Mimosa and Noelle ran ahead to talk about something, I stayed back for a bit before I noticed a figure on the roof of a nearby building, from the corner of my eye. I dismissed it as my imagination. Soon we walked in to the wizard king's office.
Julius – Good to see you all.
YN – Sir.
Asta, Yuno – Who's this flashy old man?
Klaus – It's the wizard king Julius!
Asta, Yuno – Oh.
Julius – Well done with the dungeon mission. We're hosting a promotion ceremony and you all are invited.
YN – Nice.
We followed Julius to a room with bright lights and other magic knights who stared at us in an unfriendly manner.
~Timeskip to end of the Ceremony~
Julius – And finally YN. Due to your amazing abilities with both magic and strategy I grant you the rank of first class rookie magic knight, five stars.
The rest of the people in the room glared daggers at me, which was honestly funny seeing as I could turn the country into radioactive dust if I so wished.
Julius – Now if you all will excuse me, I have some work to do. Enjoy the food.
Julius left, and I heard people throwing insults left and right.
Solid – And the most useless fool here is Noelle, who can't even control her magic.
Noelle's eyes teared up, and I stood up.
YN – Oh. So you're so high and mighty mister perfectly controlled magic. However, you're even more useless, more pathetic and on top of that, a terrible person. Who hurts their own sister? What's the point? Or are you so weak that you need to hurt people who are younger than you?
Solid – What'd ya say you pathetic peasant!?
YN – Define pathetic.
Solid didn't reply, so I continued.
YN – If you're so awesome, how about a duel. Right here, right now.
Solid – You're on you rat!
YN – Come at me then.
Solid – Water magic, Solid mist clones!
YN – Cursed flame magic, Erase.
The green fire engulfed the clones, and soon Solid was alone.
Solid – Water magic, seaserpent's hiss
YN – Stardust magic, Stellar dragon's roar!
The stellar dragon burned his serpent away, and Solid decided to use his trump card.
Solid – Water magic, Aqua wall!
YN – Cursed flame magic, pierce!
Solid's aqua wall was destroyed in a matter of seconds, and I took a break but then:
??? - The capital is under attack!
YN – I'm gonna scout the town and gather intel. You guys go take direct action. Armory magic, F6F hellcat! Wait a minute is that a Stuka?
I looked out of the window, and then I saw the stuka. And above it, far away, An Me-264 formation
YN – Ok. I need a squadron.
Noelle – I'll join.
Solid – Hmph. I'll join too.
YN – then we got a trio. Armory magic, P47D thunderbolt! Squad!
Solid – What? How?
YN – There's a steering wheel. Grab it. 15 minutes of training time before we are going to engage anything.
Noelle – I know how to control these.
Solid – There are also pedals. I'm going to put my feet on them.
YN – Roger that. Those are the yaw controls. Now. I'm gonna show you how to engage an enemy.
I spotted a bf 110, and climbed above it. Then I dived, and shot the plane to pieces.
YN – There. That's how it's done.
Noelle – Got it. Dive on them and shoot right?
YN – Precisely.
Solid – But these planes climb way too slow!
YN – Nothing is without fault. Anyway training is over. Time to work.
The trio of planes climbed to 6000 meters, and started flying towards the bombers, heading for the royal capital.
YN – 15km to contact.
Solid – Roger that. By the way, can Noelle control her magic now?
Noelle - ...
YN – Not in the traditional way. It's way cooler then that.
Noelle – Thank you.
YN – 5 km to contact. Get ready to scatter.
Noelle – Roger that.
Solid – Got it.
We broke formation, and went after our targets. Noelle and me knocked the pilots of the targeted bombers with ease, but Solid had difficulty with taking his target down.
Solid – He got my left arm. I need help.
YN – Roger that. Head back to base.
Solid – What base? You summoned these planes and they were already flying.
Noelle – He got you there YN
YN – Solid, Jump out, and slow yourself down with magic.
Solid – That's actually a good idea.
Solid jumped out of his plane and the plane turned back into magic. YN and Noelle took down the last bomber.
YN – Noelle, land somewhere near the capital. I'll go take a look around. Also the attack seems to be over.
Noelle – Okay, I'll see you when you're back. Don't die.
YN – I don't plan on it.
I looked around, then I spotted a Panzer III J decided to take it down.
YN – Switch vehicles, F6F 5N hellcat, Tiny tim payload!
Noelle's POV
I saw YN turn his thunderbolt into a navy blue plane. I went for landing, and waited for YN to come back. As I exited the plane and it turned into magical power, and I sat down.
YN's POV
YN – Yeet! Rocket away! And hullbreak! One down out of three.
I passed around, and came back for another pass, but this time I got both tanks lined up for 1 pass.
YN – Got them! Both are down. Well all three technically.
??? Pov
??? – Interesting. Another armory magic user.
