Chapter 9 Attacking the terrorists

YN's pov

There it was. A floating boulder. I checked on the rest of the team. Asta, Yuno, Noelle, Mimosa, Luck, and Mereleona were the ones I recognized. There were more people, but I was focusing on our target now. I was running through different strategies, when Mereleona yelled;

Mereleona – Alright I need a distraction! Anyone got anything?

YN – I can cause a distraction. Armory magic, StuH battalion! Armory magic, Helldiver squadron! Armory magic, Sherman battalion!

All the vehicles appeared, and the tanks aimed at the boulder. I drank a mana potion to replenish my mana.

YN – Give me a time frame. I'll start to grind up that rock.

Mereleona – Three minute. Everyone, go!

I waited my three minutes then gave the order to fire and bomb. APHE shells flew towards the boulder and exploded on impact. Too much boulder armor. Well the explosions did more damage then I anticipated. I then ordered the planes to bomb the boulder. It did more damage then the tank shells but not enough to make the boulder fall apart. Must've had powerful magic holding it together. I gave the order to fire and reload on repeat. I inserted myself to the boulder and took down eye of the midnight sun members left and right. Soon I ran into Noelle who was struggling to defeat two EotMS members. The boulder was hit by another barrage of APHE shells. I summoned my stardust dragon and caught the terrorists off guard giving Noelle the advantage. Now Noelle was able to easily defeat the EotMS mages, while I rushed forward. Soon I was in a large chamber, where an elf was in-cased in a sphere of light. He seemed to be asleep or unconscious. Having bad experiences with elves I kept half an eye on him. Soon I heard footsteps and keeping my guard up turned to the source. It was a man in a EotMS cloak, and he had black and white hair. Raia, the copy magic user. I quickly hid behind a pillar, and watched Raia drag an unconscious Asta into the chamber. He then teleported Noelle into the chamber and looked at Asta.

Raia – You care about the girl don't you? Let's see how you react when she's dead!

Raia then summoned a pitch black katana, and swung it at Noelle's neck but before it hit her, I threw an obsidian knife to intercept the blade.

*Clang*

Noelle's POV

An obsidian knife hit the katana with enough force to change it's trajectory. I looked around to locate the source but saw nothing. Then I felt Raia let go of me. I turned around to see YN looking absolutely furious, and he punched Raia, till he was almost dead.

YN – Do not underestimate me elf. I know more then you'd think. Also. How the hell did YOU survive the temple!?

I turned around to see Vetto standing there.

Vetto – I was lucky enough to get warped out before your spell hit. Licht was helpful.

YN – Licht or Patri?

Vetto – Patri. How do you even know this?

YN – I could tell it, but you wouldn't believe me. I'm also gonna tell you this. Licht would not want you to use forbidden magic. Tell that to Patri before he does. I can prevent a disaster and I will. It was never humans who destroyed your villlage and killed your race anyways. It was a devil. Or is demon a better word? Anyway Vetto, you still owe me a fight. Is Sally around? I got a question for her.

Vetto – Wait. What?

Raia – He's telling the truth Vetto. I am sorry humans.

YN – I won't judge, since I know what you thought. I however need to get you guys to the capital and I won't say a word of my oracle talent. (AKA watching too much anime)
