YN's POV
Black Bulls base.
It was a peaceful day. I was out training with Noelle and Asta, when Yami wandered to our training spot.
Yami – Oi YN! There are people wanting to talk to you. Come back to the base. Or I'll kill you.
YN – Roger that captain.
I headed back to the base and saw people from the eye of the midnight sun. Vetto in a new body, Fana the red haired elf, and Sally, their scientist. She basically joined the eye of the midnight sun to pursue her scientist madness. I went to see what they wanted.
YN – Oh, what do you guys want?
Sally – Julius told us to deliver you this.
She handed me a letter with the royal knights seal. I tore open the letter, and read it aloud.
YN – "The diamond kingdom has attacked us yet again. I Julius Novarchikano, send the black bulls and the golden dawn on an invasion. This is a declaration of war against us. The mission is to send a signal that they awakened a sleeping dragon. God speed. Julius Novarchikano."
I read through the letter once again. Then I grinned. It was time for war. So much for peace though. I walked back to our training area with Vetto and Fana following me, and I announced.
YN – Alright everyone listen up! Clover kingdom and Diamond kingdom are officially at war! We were chosen as a strike group. Tomorrow at 0900 we depart. We bomb the capital of the Diamond kingdom and get home in time for lunch. Am I clear?
Noelle Asta Fana Vetto – Sir yes Sir!
YN – Good! Now it's time to train how to fly the phantom! Armory magic, F4C Phantom squad!
Noelle – Wow. Those look awesome.
Fana – What are those exactly?
Vetto – They look like they can spread despair.
Asta – Phantoms? Cool!
I trained my squadron to dive bomb, turn fight, and take off and landing. Noelle and Asta caught on pretty well, while Vetto and Fana needed some help. After a while though they figured it out and soon they were able to do the exercises as well as Noelle and Asta.
Timeskip to next day
The rising sun shone over the airfield, where five phantoms were seen. All five of them were carrying bombs, and all had different decals. One had a thunderbolt, the next had a wave, the third had a black bull the fourth had a bear and the fifth had a dragon.
I was sitting on a rock cleaning my helmet, when the others showed up in flight suits.
YN – You all ready to go?
Asta – Yes!
Noelle – Roger that!
Vetto – Let's go spread some despair!
Fana – Yeah! Let's go!
YN – Okay then. Get ready to roll.
We took off, climbed up to 4km and turned towards the Diamond kingdom. An hour later, we saw our target.
YN – Dip and drop. Good luck. Boar, take the left side. Water, you take the right. Wyvern, you take the front and Bull, you take the back. I'll go center. Everyone ready?
Asta, Noelle, Vetto and Fana Yelled a yes sir, and we dived.
3rd POV
In the Diamond capital, fires erupted. Then the sound of thunder could be heard. Everyone was frantically looking for the source of the fire, but they were long gone. The fires raged for the next two hours.
YN's POV
YN – What did I tell you guys? We made it in time for lunch. Tomorrow another round. This time we are carpeting!
Vetto – That'll spread despair to them! Sounds good!
YN – Vetto, you really need to get over your despair fetish...
Fana – We did start the fire.
YN – "Harry Truman, Doris Day, Red China, Johnnie Ray..."
Noelle – What are you singing?
YN – It's a song called we didn't start the fire. Except this time we did I guess.
Next day
Noelle – Oh great. This is a three day mission. Well let's start I guess.
Asta – I wonder if we'll get a star.
YN – We are technically killing people so I'd say no. I'm not proud of killing. I understand that we are at war so it's necessary. Now. Armory magic, crewed B-17 squadron! P-47N squadron!
We all took off and escorted our bombers. Above the diamond capital, they dropped their load. We turned back, and landed on a nearby meadow. Then I started to cast another spell, and prepared myself to a hard battle.
YN – Armory magic, T-34 platoon! Armory magic, Panzer 4 f platoon! Armory magic, M22 platoon!
I finished my spells, and did a final spell.
YN – Armory magic, crewed Ju-87 R squadron!
I smiled and told everyone to hop on a tank.
YN – Get ready to fight.
We rushed the capital, and saw no army present. We just blew up important buildings like the castle, but otherwise we left their infrastructure alone. Makes annexing a city easier. No revolting. We just have to delete the military presence. Well technically we did. We also bombed their offices and buildings where they hide military presence. Now we just clean up the rest.
3rd POV
The Clover kingdom annexed the Diamond kingdom, and thus expanding it's influence and territory. While the Diamond kingdom had next to no farmable soil, it had more then enough minerals. Julius and Augustus Kira Clover made a wise move and made roads, and improved any available space. YN scouted up new areas, and found many interesting discoveries like a new wild magic area. But YN's group finished the mission and headed back to base.
(Author's note: Next chapter is the finalé to this book. Gonna take a break from the malereader books for a while and do an OC book or two. I hope you enjoyed this one.)
