Getting ready for the day was a process for the Champion of Galar. It was hard enough for Leon to sort himself out in the mornings without his things going missing.

"Y/N!" He shouted from the bottom of the stairs, "Where's my cape?" The two of you had crashed out on your sofa the previous night watching past gym battles. Leon wanted to analyse his fight patterns and fix what didn't work. Unfortunately, you'd only taken notes on one fight and had fallen asleep after only another two.

Leon picked up the sofa pillows and frowned, "And where's my hat?" Ah, his hat. The Champion's crown. His pride and joy. How could he have lost it? Walking to the kitchen to boil the kettle, Leon rubbed the back of his neck. Sleeping on the sofa really wasn't good for his posture. Now where did he last see his clothes? He remembered you using the cape as a blanket and speaking of whom, where were you?

Leaving the kettle to boil, he started traversing the stairs where he started to hear quiet giggling. He peered into the bathroom only to find it empty and the guest room was just the same. Another burst of giggles led Leon over to your shared bedroom. He gazed through the crack in the door, not wanting to make his presence known yet, and what he saw brought a big smile to his face.

You were stood looking in the mirror wearing your gym uniform but on top of that were Leon's cape, hat and his shoes; that were all far too big for you!

"No no no," you said, mumbling to yourself in the mirror. You cleared your throat then struck Leon's famous pose. "I'm the unbeatable Champion of the Galar region! I'm gonna make myself a Champion cup of tea!" The Champ's eyes went wide in entertainment as he pulled out his rotom phone to start recording. "I've never lost a battle!" you carried on mimicking your boyfriend, "Which makes me completely unbeatable! I'm gonna be the Champion forever!" You spun around on the spot before striking his iconic pose yet again, "No one's gonna knock me out of the League! Now let's have a Champion time!"

Leon burst out laughing, making you jump and cover yourself in the cape. "You were watching?" you shouted playfully. Leon pushed the door wide and leant against the frame. "And recording?" you yelled, pushing him playfully. Leon was still laughing at your wild behaviour and catching your flying limbs with one hand.
"Do I really sound like that?" Nodding your head in jest, you walked to the stairs and posed at the top of them.
"I don't sound like you! I sound like the real Champion of Galar, me, Y/N!" Throwing the phone into his pocket, Leon picked you up under his arm and flew you about. "Leon watch my head!"
"The Champion of Galar isn't afraid of smacking their head!" You drummed your fists against him gently and mocked him further.
"Yet he's very concerned about how many sugars are in his Champion cup of tea!" Leon suddenly stopped spinning and started racing down the stairs.
"My tea!"

Convinced he was going to drop you, you grabbed his ankles as he got to the bottom of the stairs, making the two of you go skidding across the floor into the living room. Slightly dazed, Leon reached for you before tickling your sides mercilessly. Unleashing the fit of giggles, you grabbed two pillows and whacked them against his chest, starting the most ruthless play fight of the century. You laid against his chest on the floor as you both stopped fighting to catch your breath from all the laughing.

Suddenly, Leon's phone started to vibrate. He pulled it out to read the notification, it was a call from the Chairman. You sighed, throwing a final pillow at Leon,
"Rose can't leave you alone for one day, can he?" Leon moved his hair out of his face and met your sad smile with one of his own.
"I should take this."
"I'll finish your tea. How many Champion sugars today?" you asked teasingly. Leon held up three fingers and with the other hand brought his phone to his ear. Water, milk and sugar in the cup, you leaned back against the counter as you waited for it to brew.

Don't get me wrong, you loved Leon with all your heart but sometimes you hated the fact that he was Champion. You barely ever got to see him and most days off that he had would be rudely interrupted, like right now.

After giving the drink a final stir, you walked it into the living room for Leon. His tone was getting sharper the longer the call went on for. Leon covered the speaker with his hands suddenly,
"He wants me in Wyndon for a meeting." Exhaling sharply, you shook your head.
"You have to go then." Finally taking the cap off your head, you threw it down next to Leon in a huff. Your boyfriend sighed before also shaking his head and rambling down the phone.

"Rose, it's my day off, can we meet another time?" You peered your head back round the door frame when you heard that. Leon hadn't argued with the Chairman before, at least not that you knew of. You put the cup of tea on the table before sitting on the arm of the sofa. "Yeah of course it sounds important but I'm having today off. Pick any other time." So assertive! Your eyes widened as Leon smiled at you. "Yeah, okay."

The phone dropped and Leon sat on the sofa, grabbing you by the waist and pulling you into his lap. "A day off is a day off." You snuggled into his chest with a small smile. "And we'll have a Champion time!"
"Does that mean we can have a rematch?" Leon smiled, kissing your cheek and reaching for his mug, making you roll your eyes and laugh.
"After my Champion cup of tea."
"Of course."
