Warnings: bit of a spooky start

Miles explores modern technology when the new family move into his home.

SHE STUMBLED THROUGH THE WOODS, DRAGGING HERSELF THROUGH THORNS AND ROSE BUSHES to escape him. Her knees decorated with fresh blood and split skin. He reached out to grab for her arm, digging his claw-like nails into her skin making her scream as he pierced through her veins, blood splattering on his face; which she turned to see that it had no eyes, just sheer skin covering where the sockets should be.

Shooting up out of her bead, a wet patch on the sheets from where sweat had leaked down her back and the stench of body odour filled the room, suffocating her as she begged the air to fill her lungs with oxygen. Forcing herself out of bed, she opened the window, tore the sheets from her bed and carried them into the bathroom throwing them down along with the clothes that she had soaked.

Y/N turned the shower on and ran the water over her hand waiting for it to heat up. Clutching her robe to her body, she eyed the door which she had swore she closed, passing it off as being sleep deprived she shut the door and stepped into the shower, allowing the hot water to run over her shoulders to her hips. She looked up to the shower head and scrunched her eyes shut. Trying to forget the nightmare that harrowed her to her awakening.

Miles' POV

I watched the girl sit up from her bed rather fast. I figured she had a nightmare because her bed was covered in what I hoped was sweat. Then she stripped her bed and went into the bathroom, and had the audacity to slam the door in my face! I opened the door and sat by the laundry basket. The room was too bright but there wasn't a fire???? And there was a sort of waterfall in the bathroom,  but it didn't flood? The water just disappeared into the floor???? At this point, I was more confused than anyone could ever be then I noticed her she wasn't wearing any clothes at all. I felt my face go hot when I couldn't tear my eyes from her, the room was getting sort of steamy but she didn't seem to be worried.

Then I saw something I never thought I'd ever see. She stood underneath the waterfall. And I finally shook my head and looked up to see the sun but it was inside?! Maybe she was a witch? But the sun was so small. And no one seemed to be worried when they moved in today. Not to mention there were little suns all over the house. She couldn't be a witch, but they were see through and now they have fire in them. I needed to find out how these little suns worked. I stood up and found myself postponing my mission for finding out how to work the little suns when I started staring at the girl again. Anyways, I looked at the little switch on the wall and I went to tap it and then it fell into the wall.

"Oh for fucks sakes."

I didn't know ladies could curse now. I pushed the other side of the switch into the wall and the sun came back. I was so amazed, I had to do it again, and again, and again.

"Would you leave the fucking light alone, please? I can't see where anything is."

She swore again, whenever I swore, Miss Jessel, whipped me until I felt like my fingers were going to fall off.

I looked over at the girl because she made the waterfall turn off. She was staring right at me and I suddenly felt embarrassed because I shouldn't have walked in here in the first place. After all, she had no clothes on. She didn't see me though and I remembered that she wouldn't have because I am dead.

After a while, she opened the door again and I turned back around to see that she was fully dressed and heading toward the stairs, I almost walked into her because she stopped and looked around the corner of the stairs. Was she scared? She took a deep breath in and pulled out a tiny slab of metal that LIT UP. And she shone it toward the dark. She seemed very smart with all of these cool tricks. I liked her a lot already and I didn't mind her staying here as much as I thought I would.

I was going to make this longer but I decided against it so comment for the second part of it. ☺️💕
So I thought about this for a while and if anyone is confused basically miles is a ghost and we're gonna say that he died in the time period of the book so the 1800s. Y/N's family moved into Bly (the house) and because her family is from modern day, they have all this "fancy shit" like showers and lightbulbs ect and that's what I mean by when Miles says "there's a waterfall" or "the tiny suns" so sorry if you were confused 🥰🥰
