I Can't, We Can't

Chapter 1

"Cheryl. Your mom passed away." Was the first thing the redhead heard as she picked her phone to answer her aunt. 

"W-What?" Cheryl gasped as her hand flew to her mouth. She hasn't spoken to her family for about a year now, she neither called nor visited, she just packed her bag and took the first plane to Canada leaving the day she lost everything she once loved. 

Cheryl said nothing as she hung up on her aunt, ran to her bedroom and booked the first flight back to Riverdale. It took a few hours to reach the airport, her tears never dried off of her face. Sure Cheryl was insanely mad at her mother for doing such a thing to Toni's parents, heart broken even, but at the end of the day, Cheryl wished that she was there by her mother's side when she died.

Cheryl studied University in Canada, sure she visited her parents but she barley could last a week. They were rich yes, very rich but all thanks to her Granddad who owned a lot of companies. They didn't live in a huge city, on the contrary, the Blossom's lived in Riverdale. 

The Blossom's consist of Cheryl's Granddad Max Blossom, her parents Jack and Elena along side with Cheryl's siblings, Jason and Jasmine as well as Alexa Blossom, Cheryl's aunt. Max was very powerful, nothing goes by without him knowing of it. He controlled each and everyone of the Blossom family members. And much to Cheryl's dismay, Jason was his favorite, not that she minded, but her brother was under her grandfather's influence.

About a year ago, Cheryl got a phone call that her father Jack who has a weak heart, was admitted to the hospital after having a stroke and that he was in need of surgery. She flew directly to be with family, but what she didn't expect was to meet one person who would change her life 

Toni Topaz. 

Toni was a girl with many secrets. Her parents died in a car crash when she was at the age of 8, she had to move to London to live with her aunt, But what also Toni didn't expect is that when she turned 25, she would find out that her parents were murdered. Toni's blood boiled. She got angry at her aunt for keeping such a secret. She was determined to get to the truth, even if it costed her everything she has. 

Toni flew back to Riverdale with her aunt, and as soon as she entered the house that she owns and that she barley remembers, all her flashbacks with her parents rushed through her mind. 

It took a few days to get settled in, she was also planning on opening a small café but every time she applied for the licenses, she got rejected. Determined to know why, she started digging up and asking around until she found out that Max Blossom was the one behind her getting rejected. 

Max Blossom? But she never heard of this man's name. Toni got his address and planned on visiting him, wanting to know why is he against her opening a café. And as she was parking her car in front a huge house, a beautiful girl exited the the gates. She was one of the most beautiful girl she had ever seen. Toni was in awe of this girl. 

Cheryl Blossom was the girl who took Toni's breath away, but Cheryl didn't acknowledge the brunette as she was in a hurry to go to the hospital, she ran by Toni and got in her car, driving away.

Toni tried to get answers from Max Blossom, she gave him many reasons and after two hours of fighting with Max Blossom who was very rude and against her in every way possible, she left, hopelessly. 

As she was walking to her car, she saw Cheryl park her car beside her. "Hello?" Cheryl said as soon as she stepped out of the car. "Can I help you?" 

"Uhh... I-I was just leaving." Toni smiled politely. "Toni Topaz." She said offering her hand to the redhead. 

Cheryl shook her hand. "Cheryl Blossom. Nice to meet you Toni."
