Chapter 9: Mutual Feelings

Once Eagleator landed in the treehouse, he dropped Lilly on the floor. "What were you thinking?!" He yelled. Lilly stood up and looked at him. He had a little bit of blood on his teeth. 

"You could of gotten killed." He said. "I was just trying to help." Lilly said. "No, you don't charge at a bird tile like that." He lectured her. 

Lilly rolled her eyes. "I'm not a kid, I did what I had to." Lilly said as she crossed her arms. "If you would of just stayed behind me, none of this would happen." 

Eagleator yelled. "I can't afford for you to get hurt or worse: lose you to some maniac!" He said. "Why do you care, you kidnapped me and took me away from my family. I'm nothing but your slave. What's so important about keeping me safe to you?" She yelled back at him. 

Eagleator's face turned red. "You want to know why? BECAUSE I LOVE... you" Eagleator realized what he just had said. Lilly looked up at him in shock. Did he really just say that to her? "You love me?" She asked. 

Eagleator face turned completely red. "Err... I mean, I didn't mean- um..." sweat fell down his face. He knew that he couldn't cover this one up. "Yea," he sighed as he plopped down on the mattress. Lilly joined him. 

"I love you." He ammitted as he rubbed the back of his head. "I felt this way for you for a while, but I understand that you don't feel the same way." He kind of felt heartbroken. 

"Who said I didn't." Lilly said. At that moment, she instantly regretted saying that out loud. Eagleator stared at her with disbelief. "Why would you ever love someone who kidnapped you? I hurt you for crying out loud!" He asked. 

Lilly looked at him, her face was also bright red. "Your not as evil as you come across, you know." Eagleator was too imbarised to say anything. His face was now really red. "I know deep down inside, you're a big softie."

Lilly said as she put her hand on his hand. This only made him more flustered and uncomfortable. "You don't have to hide it from me." Lilly said as she rested her head on his shoulder. The two of them didn't say anything for a couple of minutes. They just stayed like that. 

Eagleator then decided to be the one who broke the silence. "So... does this mean that...me and you are..." "what?" She asked as she lifted her head. "A couple now?" She looked at him with a look as almost she was daring him to do something.

 Eagleator tried not to make any eye contact with her. "Uh, yeah, A couple." He said. "I mean, if you want to be a couple." Lilly said as she rapped her arms around his neck and sat in his lap with him in between her legs, forcing him to make eye contact with her. 

Eagleator was now even more flustered. It was hard for him to find the right words to say. "Err, um... I mean, i want to, but I um... I mean...I-MPH!!" before he could finish, Lilly gave him a passionate kiss on his lips.

 At first, Eagleator didn't respond to this, he just sat there while Lilly continued to kiss him. He never thought that the two of them would actually be kissing each other right now. The kiss lasted for a few minutes, until Eagleator pulled away from her. 

"Maybe we should take things a little bit slower." He said. Lilly's face instantly turned red from imbarisment. "Yeah, totally! I understand." She gave a nervous laugh as she got off of his lap. "Sorry, got carried away for a moment." She said. 

Eagleator lightly brushed Lilly's hair out of her right eye. Her right eye was all black and the pupil was all white. This took Eagleator by surprise, considering her other eye was bright green. "Woah! That's cool!" He said. 

Lilly instantly covered up that eye. "You weren't supposed to see that." She said as she looked away. He was now confused. "Why? What's wrong with two different colored eyes?" He asked. "It's not just different colors, I'm blind in that eye." She told him. She brushed her long, messy hair with her fingers. 

"But how?" Eagleator asked as he tilted his head. "I was born like that." She said softly. "I was always self conscious about it for a while. My brother tried to make me feel better by buying me an eyepatch for when we play pirates." She pulled out an old eyepatch from her hoodie pocket. 

"You had that the whole time?" Eagleator asked, amazed on how she managed to not lose it. "Did you ever wear it?" Lilly shook her head. "It made me feel like I was disabled or handicapped. And I hated that feeling." 

Lilly leaned up against Eagleator. He put his arm around her and pulled her closer to him. "So instead, I just kept that eye covered with my hair." She said. "So I could at least look some what normal" she sighed.

"Well, I think you're beautiful." Eagleator said. He then got an idea: he decided to gave her a playful nuzzle on her neck. This made Lilly laugh, for she was VERY ticklish there. "Hey!" She giggled as her face turned bright red. "Stop that!" She yelled. 

But he kept nuzzling her. It was nearly impossible for her to not laugh. Eagleator then stopped nuzzling her. Lilly looked up at him. "Hey, what's wrong? I thought that we were having fun." Eagleator just stared at her. 

For the time in forever, he felt truly happy. He leaned closer to her and gave her a kiss. This one lasted a lot longer than the first one, and this time both of them kissed back. Eagleator pulled Lilly onto his lap and rapped his arms around her waist.

 They finally pulled away from each other, not saying a word. Just staring into each other's eyes. "So..." Eagleator finally said. "Me and you are now a thing, right?" Lilly nodded her head. "I guess so."
