Star trek Assimilation part 1

             The night ski over Archer 3 are shinning bright as the planets aurora Borealis put on its nightly show.  Camping on a hill overlooking the town of Tucker, a bother and sister watched in awe. Thomas and Sarah Janeway couldn't look away from the spectacular color lights that happened daily . So who can tell me how aurora Borealis works? Katherine Janeway asked her niece and nephew.  Five year old Sarah answered first Its when the planets happy she said in a sweet tone making Aunt Kathy smile on the data pad. You where very close Sarah  she replied not wanting to tell her she's wrong. Her brother Thomas is happy too. No that not right. It's because of when the solar wind disturbed the planet's magnetosphere. He said proudly. You are correct , your so smart Thomas she told him. Sarah said my answer better. Thomas fired out yeah but its wrong too. Then the siblings started arguing and calling each other names. Katherine quickly put a stop to the fighting before the words turned to blows. Stop right now or I'll tell your father. She commended.  They did and quickly begged her not to do that, she agreed not to if they stop fighting. Then Thomas's watch beep reminding him it was time to get home. Sarah said goodbye first and once she was out of sight of the data pad stuck her tongue at her older brother who made and anger face. Before he said goodbye to Aunt Kathy he asked her one last question when you become captain can I be part of the crew?  She smiled warmly and said of course you can but you'll probably make captain before I do. Your so smart. Then he told her goodbye and clicked off. Then Thomas whistled for his black Labrador named Bandit to came. The dog ran up wagging his tail as the two headed home.
            In deep space a federation run about is going at top speed as a square shaped ship is chasing close behind it. The Starfleet crew knew they had no chance of escape. Then main goal is to warn the people of Archer 3 that evil and death were coming and they have to get away while they can. However the run abouts communications are being jammed and the pursuers are closing in. Suddenly a bolt of pure energy shot out from the dark cube destroying the Starfleet ship. The planets inhabitants have no clue that there world is about to end . The Borg is coming and death is with them.
            In bed , Thomas looked out the window up at the stars. Ever since he read about Jonathan Archer and James Kirk , Thomas wanted to be and explorer just like them. He read everything he could find about exploration with Starfleet . Planning ahead Thomas would go to Starfleet Academy just like Aunt Kathy. He wished he could get there sooner. As Thomas drifted off to sleep he looked at the model of the Enterprise hanging above his bed and dream of being the captain.
            Someone is shaking Thomas awake , with sleepy eyes he discovered his father is the one. Thomas ! Get dress now! Dad said in panic pulling the covers off his son. All Thomas could do is rub the sleep from his eyes very slowly. The father yank his son from the bed. GET DRESSED NOW !
The father shouted at a fully awake and scared Thomas. Quickly Thomas put on his shoes and jacket over his pajamas . Then hurried out to the living room. his mother is holding his sister Sarah, who his weeping wanting to go back to bed. Looking at his mother ,Thomas could see she is scared . Before he could ask what's happening his father led them out of the house toward the shuttle landing pad.
            Walking at a fast pace Thomas held on to his dad hand tight as it looked like the whole town was going to the same place. That's when Thomas heard some of the others talking about the Borg are coming. Chills ran down Thomas back after hearing about that Borg. He read about them from reports aunt Kathy sent him. There cybernetic organisms that assimilate other cultures to be there slaves , even taking away people's individual thoughts. He didn't like any of that and he differently didn't want to meet the Borg. Then Thomas realized his dog Bandit was left behind. He tried to tell his father but he was to focused on getting his family to safely. Then some one shouted THE BORG ARE HERE!!!!!
           Everyone looked up at the shuttle pad and saw these machine like people marching down on them. The towns people screamed in fear and all ran in panic in different directions. One man ran into Thomas mother knocking her to the ground. His dad quickly help her up asking if she's OK . Mom still held onto Sarah never dropping her asked with a trimbleing voice What are we going to do? The father spin around looking for a path to safely as the Borg drew closer. This way ! He cried out leading his family though heavy brush of trees. Running as fast as they could to escape tree branches hit and cut them . Pleas for help were heard from behind , none of the Janeway family dared look back to see the horror that could still befall them all.
            Reaching a clearing in the woods the family found other town survivors there , resting and planning there next move. Some talked of going deeper into the woods while some people though of taking boats down river to the open sea. Then people started yelling at each other on what to do. Thomas look at his mom and sister, who both in tears and scared out of there minds . Then Thomas remember reading about a geological survey he read about the mines to the north. He ran to his father shouting  he know what to do. His father ignore him at first , then told him to shut up after he annoyed him.
