Star trek Assimilation part 7 the beginning

           As Thomas sat there his head began to hurt and nose bleed. The pain became so bad that he lie on the floor holding his head in tears. Then with out warning the power went out and all the hatches opened. He tried to get the power back up but he was locked out of the system, Then Thomas heard something moving down the Jefferies tube toward him. Picking up the phaser he aimed it down the tube but the pain is making it difficult to hold it steady. Thomas, its going to be OK a familiar voice called. He was to weak to answer but still held the phaser which felt like a ton.
            À moment later a starfleet officer entered the section, Katherine Janeway his aunt. She could see he is in distress as she held him in her arms. She immediately called for a emergency beam out to sick bay. After they were transported there the doctor quickly when to work on the brain bleed in Thomas's head. it was result of the ruff ride in the probe when he banged his head hard. Before being put under Thomas asked to see his aunt. Standing by his side he told her mom and dad where dead and he couldn't save his sister he couldn't save anyone and wished he was dead. Katherine Janeway fought back here tears and kiss her nephew on the forehead telling him its not his fault and everything will be fine now. He wished he could believe that as he went under
            Later in recovery with his Aunt Kathy at his side told the story of the Borg conquest of Archer 3 to Captain Picard and Commander Riker. When he finished they all told how brave he was but he didn't feel he is. He felt like a coward who ran away. Then he asked what they where going to do about the Borg. The answer Captain Picard gave of setting up a defense and negotiate didn't sit well with Thomas . He told them all you need to kill them every single one of them so that can't hurt anybody anymore. That stunned captain Picard and his first officer, Doctor Crasher announce Thomas need to rest . In his heart Thomas knew what he will do to the Borg, revenge.
            Weeks later back on earth in Bloomfield, Indiana the funeral was held on the Janeway farm. Thomas would stay with his grandfather when Aunt Kathy goes back to starfleet. They made up his Father's bedroom for him. After the funeral they tried to have Thomas talk about what he has been though so the healing process could began. However he didn't want to talk just told them he was tired and wanted to go to bed. As he lay there Thomas looked up at the stars not with wonder but with anger. From this point on he would dedicated his life to wiping out all the Borg and nothing would get in his way. Then Thomas pick up his computer table to begin his studies. His quest has just begun.
